I had him 3 turns before the final game against Sittch. Obviously he Screwjobbed me and I had to reload.

Next time I see him, I going the almost surefire way and choose not to sign. Last time I did that, I got a fairly good boost. Not as good as signing, but better than nothing.

I just saw him for the first time and DAMN. He CAN really pan out for you! That was a big boost in stats. It was really funny cause I saw him right when I turned on the game and I figured I had nothing to lose, and if he effed me up I'd just restart.

Personally I say it's worth the shot

I only saw him twice in all the times I've done success mode and I failed both operations. I'm on my 7th character in a row and no Dr. GoodJob.

The only successful Dr. Goodjob experience I've had was with the first time ever as well. I wonder if the save game data files has this programmed? Has anyone had a bad 1st try with him? After the 1st time I'd say the next 7-8 have all had bad results. The game just teases you with that boost on his 1st visit ...

I got it bad on my first 5...

I've had Dr. Goodjob 2 out of 4 players and he has completely screwed me both times. I had an monster of a pitcher built with no really good random events (catch the thief, etc.) and he showed up the week before the championship game against the Galaxy Sharks. I went for broke and tried to increase my strength and he completely destroyed my player, but luckily I had saved right before that. I could have had one of the best players ever made if I was successful, but luck was against me. Someone has got to figure out if his appearance is completely random or if there is any kind of trigger. Either way, it is probably nearly impossible to get a big number in Control (for a pitcher) without Dr. Goodjob. I had nearly all the 4 skills and purple abilities with ~240 stamina, but my control was ~165. How do you get enough mentality in practices to upgrade Control significantly?

Goodjob loves me. He hasn't ever done anything bad to me =)

I wonder if there are some "guaranteed" dates toward the end of the season (like in 07') when only his re will show up?

Someone should try reloading at least 50 times after winning the game against Gil or something.

Sweet googaly moogaly, when he screws you up he really screws you up. I probably lost a couple months worth of stats on the pitcher I was making.

Yep - and when it is successful you get a couple of months of stats in one fell swoop. He's the dictionary definition of "high risk, high reward"

So far when Dr. Goodjob has came he screwed me up once. I had a guy with A power and B speed and he made them drop to low B power and low C speed

saw him again... and he completely screwed me up. That means I'm 0-12 now, So unlucky...
