I got the skill "good infield htr" or something like that. Works for me.

Good Infield Hitter is an awesome ability. If you don't have it, even with a 15 Speed guy with Good Base Running, they are super slow to 1B on grounders.

Quick question about Dr. GoodJob. The only time I ever succeeded was when I chose not to sign and he used the "safer" method.

1. I believe he gives a bigger boost if you sign and it succeed, but at a much less frequent rate?
2. Can you fail when you choose not to sign?
3. Can anyone post the boost # for each?

I chose to focus on my weaknesses, and he not only cured my bad abilities (Including Poor Sense, IIRC), he gave me Good Small Ball (Mentality) and Good Infield Hitter.

That's for 2007. Wonder if it's the same for 2008. It doesn't look right for some reason.

i think they were the same, i got about the same boost for my pitcher when i signed

I ran into Dr. Goodjob the first time i played too, and everytime I get him he ruins my players It's annoying that running into him doesn't mean anything, since that's hard enough already

Doesn't it really stink when you get all excited when you see him, and then he lowers your stats tremendously.

I've only gotten positive results from the Dr. once... It was the one time I didn't ask him to make me stronger. I asked to help overcome some of my weaknesses, and he cured error prone for me. All other times, not so good.

0-3 on get stronger

he always seems to come sometime the first year for me,
anyone get him the second?

Yes, I had him two weeks in a row in the 2nd year once. Needless to say I failed on the 'get stronger' each time.
