Its still kind of amusing though how abilities that were easy to get had so little importance and were often skipped while some of these have become very hard (Gyroball is the biggest example, there was no such hoopla about it last year) to get are thought of as one of the best if not the best abilities in the game. Intimidator appears to be the only consistent, very hard to get abilitiy in the game for both years.

I think the same method for getting patient hitter may also get you "Slow Starter" if you are a pitcher. I waited 5 times and then and went and checked on Patty, and when the event finished, I got slow starter.

that's good to knoe for those trying to make un-perfect players with setbacks. I might go that route to get that for one of my players. Still, its an awfully long road just for a red ability.

Basically, what you will have is a bunch of slow starter gyroball pitchers, becuase those are the only ones that are probably going to go for it.

It doesnt amaze me that people dont know...the only reason you know is because you probably sent 100 emails to konami asking about all the skills- thats how gyroball and most of the other harder to find skills were found- by you (with konamis help) so its not too surprising that not many people have found out these on their own, since it would take until 2010 to find most of them.

Not to mention that trying to find abilities "how to" on these boards is nearly impossible since all the info is scattered in 20 page long posts in many cases. You are right, we really need to compile them or wiki them- the wiki is nearly useless in getting most skills- its too vague without room for any description on how to obtain the skills.

No actually, I didn't get gyroball from Konami, and i haven't sent them 100 e-mails, but 3, but I also found Patient hitter before they replied, star I got from them, good eye, I did mail them, but found it shortly after I sent the e-mail. I found gyroball on my own.

Finall someone feels the way I do!

By the way, when you say you get star by putting the kids on your shoulders the second time, are you counting the girl by herself as the first time?
