I think you may have to get your coach/scout eval up to a certain level before the Ben RE triggers. I can't confirm this completely.

Doing some test runs, I tried to avoid working out, and get the Ben RE as fast as possible, only, I couldn't get it! I tried a couple different times, and same result.

When I decided to get my coach/scout eval up first, I had no problem getting Ben to appear. (after getting Patty's bar to about 3/4)

MrWelz,

Will you be writing up a detailed guide or walkthrough concerning the search for the Gyroball? I am thinking something like what Fuji49 wrote up would be really cool.

Thanks

If I can figure everything out then I guess I could.

I learned that you can trigger the "Ben at the street" event as a random event, without actually visiting the street. (like someone had thought)

Once you have Patty's rating up, sometimes it only takes working there once, and eating one hot dog to get Ben to show up at the street.

i had patty maxed out, did everything according to mr. welz, and didn't get the event with patty going to school and coming back. I got to the part where you ask what patty's major was, i dated her with all the choices being the best for her likability (dating patty guide), and i didn't even get to patty going and coming back from school!

Did you get the Ben at the street event? Does the hot dog shop have the organic dog? If not there's no chance of you getting the gyroball/intimidator.

Then the game obviously hates.

When patty asks you to do the restaurant together did you say yes or your baseball career?

I've dated her at the mountain twice, lake twice, lookout 5 times.

In case you don't know yet...

you can trigger the Ben RE by simply visiting the downtown area after you eat 1 hot dog and work there 1 time as well. You also must have Patty at about half way on her meter.

If you visit downtown and it asks you if you want to go to a movie or whatever, then you haven't met all three of these requirements.

This is a plus because you don't have to worry about Jaw being there or not.
