Im thinkin' since the first installment gave your character the gyroball when he went into a roller coaster ride with a girl.. the 2nd installment might come from a lady as well..

Problem is, there are no roller coasters this time around.. So maybe, it's gonna come from a similar RE w/ a girl which causes your character to go around in loops.. or at least an RE that makes your character dizzy.. After all, the gyroball spins in a unique manner, so your character might learn it if he goes through some sort of "spin" :|

From my experience, Lucy is off the list because all her date scenarios dont have any "spin/twist/dizzy" events.. So I suspect Patty might be that girl because there are a lot of people who said they got nothing from patty in the end of the game.. MAYBE, she'll give you the gyroball somewhere halfway.. I haven't really tested every dating scene with patty simply because there's just too many.. X.x

or in the worse case scenario... Maybe we need to get a perfect score in Sitch's water spider test.. If that's the case, im gonna give up hands down..

Maybe its that girl you meet at the park? What does she give you when you finish her arc?

I know, that's one of the reasons I'm so looking forward to getting that Gyroball.. He had 93 mph fastball during that time (he had a "yellow" mood) but darn! That 93 mph gyro-fastball didn't feel like 93 mph even if the radar said so.. It felt more like 98 mph..

But even if Sittch has that Gyroball.. how are we gonna get it man? We all finished his training right? Are there any other cut scenes that we could've triggered from him?

Don't know, maybe if you practice with him a certain number of times after you finish ninja training you'll get it.

I haven't done it. But I've read quite a few times that all you get is the legendary players of baseball book.

I feel ya man but, its been more than 1 month since the release of MLB PP 2008, and still, there's no official answer to getting that darn ability..

Back in MLB PP 2007, it took less than a month ( or was it 2 months..) for the guys back at GameFAQS to discover that gyroball.. and MLB PP 2008 is taking longer than expected..

I was just guessing, since no one here has seen it yet (unless Dr.Mario "proves" himself..), it could be an RE that no one has managed to trigger.. or maybe a test that no one has perfected.. in that case.. the water spider test..

but yer right, getting the Gyroball can't be so brutal as to perfect the water spider test.. But damn.. i mean.. WHERE IS IT?!? :x

I'm gonna try another "Event" guy and see if I run into it. First can anybody list the event arcs that DON'T give it? I'm gonna try the process of elimination.

pretty sure the legendary cow arc doesn't give it. i've gotten pretty far in it, so i can check back if i complete it.
thinking that gives power hitter though...

and we can't be sure about sittch (we can never be sure with sittch  )

I've read that someone got power hitter from a huge steak (and +8 power) but I've also heard someone got 25 power from it (maybe if you already have power hitter).

We're all pretty sure it's not Lucy. After all, what are the odds the same person gives 2 major abilities.
