When facing Sittch, I highly recommend you have every hitter take pitches until the count goes to 2 strikes. If you want to keyhole a mistake pitch on the first two strikes with your Success character or Terry, that’s fine, but the goal is to run up Sittch’s pitch count so he gets tired and leaves the game early. If you follow that strategy, you can send Sittch packing in the 5th, 6th or 7th inning and feast on the bullpen. This also gets Sittch’s bat out of the lineup, so it’s a win/win move.

I usually try to foul off a couple as well with a few of the weaker players. But that's a great strategy.

It's all mentality. I think most of your problems is you go in thinking your going to lose, get into a double play, give up a home run to sttich or lose the lead, so you do. You pitch differently to Sttich. I don't, I get him out as much as anyone. I've even had a couple of no-hitters with decent players, and I'm not that good. It's just mind set. I KNOW I can beat him, and if you KNOW you can beat him, you will. It sounds like it's the oppisite to you, and when you think you'll lose, you always will. But it doesn't really matter annoyingly, as you get practically nothing if anything for beating him. In fact, for some reason I always end up winning 10-0 but my player goes 0-4, so I get no exp. No idea why, maybe because I power hit with him and so he doesn't do as well. Only been a recent problem for me.

Taking pitches is a good idea at first untill you figure him out. That's what I did to begin with. Then you begin to figure him out. As I've said before, memorize a single pitches movement and only hit that pitch. Any other pitch you should foul off. But when you see what your looking for, you get a hit off it. That's how a lot of MLB hitters hit. I don't need to do this anymore since I've seen Sttitch so often that I memorized his pitches. But if I didn't do this, I wouldn't be able to beat him so easily.

:bump:

I just beat the GS 3-2

I was losing 1-0 but then one of my hitters got a two run single but then Sittch hit a homerun to tie it

It seemed like it was gonna be a tie 2-2, but wit two outs in the 9th, my catcher hit a triple and then he stole home and won it

Now that's a dramatic finish. How long did Sittch last? A catcher stealing home. There's something new...

I always steal home.
Just take as big a lead you can get, then turn around once the catcher gets it, he'll throw it to third, and you scamper home.
Easy.

I think I've beat them once. With my most recent player, Larry Mason, we tied 5-5, but we were down 5-1 at one point and scored 4 runs in the bottom of the eighth, including a two-run triple by Larry, to tie it and ended the game tied. In the "makeup game", we lost.

He lasted 8.1 innings and was wicked tired but was taken out before Terry had a chance :(

Yep. If you think you're going to win or you think you're going to lose, you're probably right either way.

I've beaten the GSs a handful of times. I've always used Eric's strategy. Mainly, I pitch a couple low inside fastballs almost exactly in the corner if my Success guy is a pitcher. I try to make them have so much control that they can put the ball through a life saver if I wanted them to (of course, they wouldn't have life savers in this game; they can't eat them without a mouth). I always fail at that, but still try to give them good control. After I get the count to 2 strikes, I throw a slider high and jam him. He normally pops the ball up 400 feet in the air, and he's out. With Eric's strategy, he only gets 2 chances to knock the ball around. I can possibly reach 5 runs in a game, getting a couple off Sittch even. :D

I don't ever make pitchers, so with whatever pitcher I'm using since Sittch is gone, I just throw fastballs directly down or near the middle of the strike zone, and a lot of times, the batter will get on top of the ball for a grounder. It's not the best strategy, but I don't really care about winning the final game against the GS.

The Galaxy Sharks were never really much of a challenge. The All Stars from 07 were IMPOSSIBLE though.
