Yeah, but he's for Wii, and he stinks, real life-ly.

Missing pitchers and existing pitchers with identical birthdays:

Kenshin Kawakami can be created by editing Esteban Yan (if he's in the game)
Robinson Tejada can be created by editing Dustin McGowan
Ronald Belisario can be created by editing Julio DePaula (probably not in the game, but worth a look)
Garrett Mock can be created by editing J.P. Howell

DePaula isn't in the game, but Yan may be a Great.

Also, Homer Bailey recently added a splitter to his arsenal.

It's kinda funny cause I said

"Hey dad Homer Bailey got a new pitch"

My dad's reply was

"A strike?"

I did a Grant Balfour which should be still in the password exchange I believe. Just needs someone to look at it to see if it will work.

Actually I did do one, but he may have too many abilities. It was one of the first players I did, and I think I may have gone quite over-board with him.

So, what do you think you would give Uehara as far as the lvls of his breaking balls?

I'll bring this up again...
it was in baseball america's 2009 prospect handbook.

I found that too, but after I went to about 4 other places I found that only baseball america said that he throws a knuckle curve, so I left it out.

Ah, okay.
by the way, would a hard curve just be a really good curveball, or what would it be in PP terms?

For a hard curve, I'm guessing the Slurve or Vertical Slider would get you close but it ultimately depends on tilt and speed differential. In PP, every breaking pitch is "x" mph slower than a player's fastball and the differential is specific for each pitch. A 2SFB is 3 mph slower, a curveball is 16 mph slower, etc. The key is knowing the pitch's tilt (vertical + horizontal movement) and speed differential (avg speed of 4-seamer minus avg speed of breaking ball).

For example, in real life most sinking fastballs are just referred to as sinkers. But in PP, a Sinker is 16 mph slower than the 4-Seamer - even the Hard Sinker is 12 mph slower. Hence, most sinkerballers in PP should feature a 2-Seamer or a SIFB.

Same thing with sliders. In real life, sliders come in a whole slew of shapes. Some are big, sweeping, horizontal pitches that break all the way to the plate while others are more slurvey and deceptive. Sometimes it's just best to trust your eyes and ignore the name of a pitch. If you are unfamiliar with a player's arsenal, check out the Pitch/Fx charts at Fangraphs.com and watch a highlight video on the player's mlb.com page.
