Got Dr. Good Job last night. With about 20 turns remaining, it appears Blackbeard will be almost completely maxed out offensively when this is all said and done.

Blackbeard Update:

My laptop - which is where my player log is - has been in the shop for a couple of days. I've made some progress but its like trying to land an airplane in the fog. I'm just sort of making notes and guessing what I have left to do. I can't remember when the final game is, but I'm probably about 4 commands from the finish. As it stands now, Blackbeard's Power will finish somewhere between 220-230 and ALL of his offensive and defensive abilities will be 15's. He also has Contact Hitter, Power Hitter, Spray Hitter, Refined, Grt IF HTR and Bunt Master.

On the pitching side, Blackbeard will finish with 105 MPH, +/- 187 Control and +/- 222 Stamina along with every positive Special Ability available. He has a maxed Palmball, Forkball, Curveball, Cutlass (orig = slider + more break) and his Shuuto will finish at 5 or 6.

Can't wait to finish . . .

BTW, what's a good uniform number for a pirate? #00? #77? #96? I'm leaning toward #00 but I haven't decided. Any ideas?

#40 would be a good number. or #92

00 is the best I can think of.

How about #000? Or is it possible?

Any 3-digit number is possible but they don't look as professional.

#101 is the best i can think of because the two 1s can mean the bones and the 0 can mean the skull in the Jolly Roger sign.

Is there a link to Sifu? I keep hearing the name but haven't seen him.

I have no idea how long it took. I was at home for a week recovering from sinus surgery and figured I would kill some time banging out a killer Success pitcher. I had no idea you could juice a pitcher's offensive abilties to this extent when I started. I learned a few tricks along the way that could allow me to create a better Success player than Blackbeard, but I doubt I'll go down that road anytime soon.

Yowza. Sifu is a beast. I can't imagine how rediculous Blackbeard would have been had he been a Genius.

Naw. I like the idea behind #101, but I think I'll stick to a more conventional 1- or 2-digit number. Not that there is anything conventional about Blackbeard. He's a modern-day Babe Ruth. Only much hairier.
