Yeah I always use the slide two fingers back and forth over the A button rapidly technique, and its never failed me.This event is murder on the controller, I do wish it was actually timing based so there might be a chance at getting perfect scores and whatnot, but the best i've ever done is maybe 50-60 stars out of 100. it doesnt seem to make any difference in the final rewards no matter if I get 30 or 60 stars though. Passing seems to be the only real goal here, so mash away and move onto the next Sittch test.

From basic tests, it seems that the amount of points you can get from this event depends on how well you do, like the guess the image training.

I'm curious as to what you get from getting perfect, if that is even possible.

Ive gotten all 10 on the dynamic vision training before, and it still only gave me the skills it gave to me when I got 7 right as usual. Ive never gotten a skill from the water walking event, and always get the same skill or skills from the dynamic vision one- hot hitter and contact hitter(?) I cant recall off hand and am at work so cant check in game.

Getting over half the stars on the water event has never given me a ability, but i usually use the gamblers ring to get most of them by this point already, so it might have an ability assigned to it, but I already had it.

Has anyone ever gotten an ability from the water walking event? I usually just pass it and move along, since its too hard on the controller to keep S/Ling.

Didn't they used to make a controller for PS2 that you could just use a rapid fire button? Someone should try something like that for the walk on water RE. If you could somehow get a perfect score on that, I couldn't even imagine how many points you would receive.

Honestly, here's what I do.

Put on 99 Luftballons by Nena.

Wait for the first chorus. Its important.

Then I use my index fingernail to go back and forth over the a button in time with the music. When I get tired, I switch to just hitting the button with my finger.

Works like a charm

Hilarious.

I can picture it and everything.

I'll have to try this method.

I commend you in coming up with a consistent method that works for you.. I don't know what to say about the fact you own '99 Luftballoons' by Nena...

It was also one of the very first music videos to be on MTV when the channel launched. I remember they played that song and like 2-3 others all day long the first few weeks, since they only had a few music videos to rotate before making videos became popular.

Damn, now I feel old for remembering that.

And you kids get off my lawn!

It's been covered by Goldfinger, if you need a more modern sounding option for the above method.
