Yeah. Not even reflexes. Better than reflexes, a pitcher I have can't catch a ball half that fast with the ability.

I really don't see how you could get all A's. I only finished with one A with my first player, and that was in contact. Followed by 2 B's in run speed, and error resistance.

Do you reload everytime you get an injury during training, or not all okays? That's the only way I could really see so many A's..

Buying extreme amounts of gambling tickets and gambling, getting only the best events, and quitting to get rid of bad events/goodjob surgeries.

God, I hope there's a thread that shows how to get every ability, I could really use that, ike, just the events or something. I think I did see something like that, but I cannot recall. Regardless, my pitcher is decent compared to alot of the guys here, I'm fine with that.

All i can make are good overall players like in my signature.

My take on making a character would be to save your money until you have at least 700 or more at the beginning then buy as many gambling tickets you can get.
Then all you really need is about 10-15% of success to gamble for the stat and if you don't get it just save and reload. Also i helps to do really well in games (i.e. 3-4 2 RBI or anything 3 for 4 ish) If you do well in the games you really don't need to worry about scout eval.

Given enough gambling I think so long as you don't mind saving and reloading a bunch it's pretty easy to make an all-world batter. My latest guy is a catcher with 11 contact, 225 power, 4 trajectory, C arm, B fielding, and E speed. He's got a bunch of good batters abilities like great catcher, power hitter, pull hitter, clutch 4, and vs. lefties 4.

My one big problem with character creation is I do have trouble getting pitchers up high enough in control and stamina. You can't gamble on either so if I want a starter with great stamina and great control then I seem to have to be deficient in other areas. I don't seem to get nearly as many points from games from pitchers either. I never really rack up K's.

I haven't done it, don't have the time for it, but what the great ones will tell you is simply.....SAVE/LOAD! These are people that don't mind gambling for a abilty eventhough they only have 3% chance of getting it, don't get it just reload for the next 15min till you do!

I envy those people. I probably won't go that extreme until i get a Genius to start out with. And if I ever do get a genius, i'll S/L to get all OK's in training :P.

I didnt play the 07 version- is genius a starting attribute players can pick up if they get lucky when you roll them? And what exactly does it do for the player?

you get genius when you roll a character. It gives you high starting stats, gd sense, and no negatives. It doesnt say genius on the info screen, you can only tell by your stats. You can, however, when in the middle of a game, look at your guy's abilities and it will say genius.

I only reload when i'm risking injury or failure.
unfortunately, you can see how my first guy turned out by typing in the link in my sig (third line)
I only S/Led for the final game.
