A "D" is average (just look at the manual).

A fielder will want to emphasize power and contact first, getting trajectory 2-3 depending on power. After that you can pull up the fielding skills.

Pitchers should be able to evenly work top speed, stamina, and control up to D with no problems.

I typically run up one category of training (weight training) until it hits level 3 or there abouts before considering another category of training.

If you keep an even amount of training, say, doing 2 months of 1 training before switching, you can vary enough to get experience in all the needed areas (although you'll always seem to have extra mentality).

And sorry about not knowing the "D" average... I will admit, I'm one of those noobs that kind of neglect it outside of reading up on gameplay :(. Sorry!
