I get the first item on the list.

$20

+50, or 45 vitality(the only I've gotten)

It gives me 2-3 practices without having to get another one(without s/l technique)

Buying the recovery necklace dramatically reduces the amount of time you have to spend doing various "free time" things to regain vitality.

Yeah, that's what I'll probably do when I decide to save and reload a lot for a character but I've only done one so far and I didn't s/l.

No problem, I know you don't have the game yet, no need to be sorry.

Hot Dogs is how you restore vitality? My poor Ninjabert West went a few weeks without Vitality as I experimented looking for how to do that. That's what I get for renting the game first instead of just flat out buying it.

If you S/L a character for max efficiency, does Vitality even matter in this game?

It would see to me that as long as you have a sliver of vitality you can just S/L until you get a good practice. I've thought about just buying $5 candies and using them. Then I could avoid burning a turn a month to visit the hot dog store for 50 vitality.

Thanks for the info about the necklace Wyl, I'll check it out. Am I correct in assuming the necklace isn't very cheap though?

When I do the candy trick, I have a hard time rolling 5 ok's. I rather have the easier time with the vitality (although not proven that it helps). Also, I have a hard time rolling 5 ok's when I have level 9 training.

The next time I create a success guy I'll try to keep a pen and pad handy

Something as easy as 3 columns on the top Low/Med/High Vitality and 5 card results on the side.

A simple check Mark should be easy for me to incorporate during S/L

While I'm only one sample but if we got enough people perhaps we'd get a better idea?

Of course if it's just a matter of S/L patience I'm fine with 4 OK's and low vitality. That extra turn could be utilized a lot more effectively.

I've made several characters and have always used the candy method. This has got to be the best method, especially considering that if you practice three times in week 4 it will only cost you $15 in candy. It seems as though I have a more difficult time getting a 5 ok practice when I get to the higher levels, but I never have to spend any turns on eating. The difference between a 4 and 5 practice is negligible most of the time if you're gambling up (the percent of gamble success is lower, but not by much in most cases). If you have extra money then the recovery necklace is quite useful and when you combine it with candy in multiple practice weeks it is probably the most optimal strategy (less trips are needed to the shop to get candy).

yeah I use the recovery necklace.

it only costs 450 and you can get half of the money back at the end of the game when you sell it.
