So I am starting a roster update thread for next years season so here we go. I am making the players based off of this info viewtopic.php?f=12&t=8956 Im going to go through all of the teams and update them through out the offseason and regular season. If yo want to help then PM ME the team you want to make and then i will mark you down. when you finish a team you can post them in this thread. this thread is only for posting rosters and commenting on the players. Im going to start manual updates today and hope to finish by February. first up is the Yankees! Also people who are doing success players for the update keep doing what you are doing. so far it has been great! |

I've done the Giants Pitchers,and I'm starting on the hitters I followed the guidelines from the link you posted. But there's nothing about Fld or E Res in there. What stats are you using to determine this? I'm thinking that range factor relative to other players at that position would be good to determine the FLD rating. Maybe fielding percentage relative to contemporaries could be used for ERES? Oh and I forgot about ARM. Thoughts? |

Using UZR is the easiest way for FLD, for ERES just go based off fielding % compared to average of the position. ARM is basically just guesswork at this point |

...and, do you want to stay conservative with the blue abilities for hitters? The guideline link didn't say anything about it except for timely whiff. For instance, Posey hit .332 in medium leverage situations, .367 in high leverage situations. I am inclined to give Posey Clutch5, or at least Clutch4. Really enjoying punching in the World Champeens to see how awful PP's would make them. |

I'll probably do 30+ players for the Giants, people can add who they want. I've got 16 pitchers who had a decent amount of time this year. |

Yeah I eventually just started doing straight up edits since it's about 1/1000th the amount of time and I can do exactly what I want. And I'm just going off what PitchF/X says for pitches, so feel free to make change ups into circle change ups, or curves into drop of slow curves as you see fit. I almost entirely enjoy the Giants over the radio, so I have little lye about the action of everybody's pitches. I used the batting average against each pitch, and considered the effectiveness of the pitcher in question to come up with ratings for pitches. |
