Post subject:  Moods and Fatigue

Hey guys,

I'm really sorry if this sounds like a noob question (well, it is a noob question) but someone stole my manual and I can't seem to find a FAQ or equivalent elsewhere online. (Even emailed 2K trying to find access to such)

I am wondering about the mood indicators for each other players. I play as the Yankees and I'm not sure what influences their moods. I had A-Rod in the worst mood and I had him rest from playing and from practice for a few games and saw some improvement. However I had Giambi in an all right mood, he plays every game, practices every day and now he's in the best mood. I also have some players that the no practice, no play method doesn't work (namely Cabrera and Posada).

If someone could help me out on what influences these moods, and furthermore, does it actually impact the game or are they just another level of depth in season mode for you to work on superficially?

Thanks!

Is this for MLBPP 07 or 08? Your profile says you have '08 but this post is in the '07 discussion. If you can clarify we can answer better.

It's actually '08. But I was told that there was no difference between the two in regards of things like that.

But yes, I'm playing '08.

I see it got switched over. Thanks to whomever did it for my lousy mistake.

But can anyone help me here? I just feel like I'm at a serious disadvantage when I play those Boston Red Sox and they all have jumping smiley faces and half my team has swiveling frowns.

The face icons are player conditions and they change randomly game to game, except green (injury) and gray (fatigued pitcher). You can't control it just like in real life because a hot or cold streak can come at any time for any player.

The manual explains all of that.

Pink "Wide Smilie" is best, Red is second, Yellow is middle, blue is bad, purple is worst.
