Topic.

Mine is definitely the vertical slider. So glad that Kobayashi has it in this game!

I think Joba Chamberlain could have had it too. His slider breaks downward sharply just like the VSLD.
Akinori Otsuka had it in a Japanese Power Pros game once (he had a regular one in 2007 but doesn't appear in 2008).

Also, Power Pros was also one of the reasons the gyroball rose to fame before being introduced to American baseball circles. It was initially something Konami probably put in to juice up the game, as a more powerful version of Fastball Life.

Lidge also has a sharp break down on his slider.

i also like the foshball, whatever it does. I've only seen Jeff Suppan have it.

I had never heard of a Shuuto before this game.

Best I can tell is that it's basically just a change-up that has gotten itself a different name because the grip is a little weird - four fingers with the pressure being mostly from the middle and ring (but even that doesn't get consistently described). Seems like some guys in the majors claim they get a little bit better movement from it than a more traditional grip. Whatever works I guess.
