Neither. One pitcher has to pitch the whole thing.

Didn't the Houston Astros pitch a combined no-hitter and it was called an official no-hitter? You'd think that at least the winning pitcher would get credited.

if the winning pitcher were to get credit it it would been King Felix's 2nd no hitter with 20+ K's since getting traded to my team in year 1 for Ryan Howard. the 1st was the perfect game vs the nationals in his 1st month on the team.

Announcers (and myself) will often refer to a combined no-hitter, but it's just a casual term. Here's a quote from the online official rules (at http://mlb.mlb.com/mlb/official_info/about_mlb/rules_regulations.jsp:

MLB Miscellany: Rules, regulations and statistics

    Perfect games and No-hitters:
An official perfect game occurs when a pitcher (or pitchers) retires each batter on the opposing team during the entire course of a game, which consists of at least nine innings. In a perfect game, no batter reaches any base during the course of the game.

An official no-hit game occurs when a pitcher (or pitchers) allows no hits during the entire course of a game, which consists of at least nine innings. In a no-hit game, a batter may reach base via a walk, an error, a hit by pitch, a passed ball or wild pitch on strike three, or catcher's interference.

Also, after seeing the CPU remove a player with DB contact and power for a DE pinch hitter time and again, I am not surprised that they removed a pitcher throwing a no hitter.

PS - why would you play the game with Felix pitching? Wouldn't it be really fun?
