Why is it called top speed in this game? I mean, you can't get their top speed without mashing the A button and draining the pitcher's stamina. Pitchers have a top speed of 94, and then I bring them in a game and they are throwing 86.  That part of the game really annoys me. I had Chuck Norris pitching one game, 105 top speed, and the highest speed I got without mashing the A button was 97.  Why is it like this?

I don't know, but Battler makes it so that your pitches go closer to Top Speed without mashing the A button, I think. |

Shrug. The Japanese games are WAY better at this- while I have no pitchers above 147 km/h (about 91 mph), they're throwing at or one tick below that speed. |

Yeah the Japanese games have a better idea of what top speed is anyways, A guy who throws 93 will be just a tick or two off the radar on mostly every fastball, and the top speed only gets really reduced when you guy is blue or purple faced. |

Dish is right about battler, motivation plays a small part as well plus consistency 4 ability. But I agree it is ever so difficult to ever reach the pitcher's top speed even given abilities and motivation at their highest. very frustrating

If you get a pitching motion like Alvin or Sittch you have a long time to smash A button which will give you your top speed |

When I use one if my guys and he is the purple jumping happy face, he can through 103 MPH |
