it will definitely be fun to play power pros "on the go" and against online opponents with wireless play but the DS version will lack crucial modes such as success and season. online play was the number one feature i was looking forward to and am very disappointed that it won't be available on Wii or PS2. i will probably purchase it though still trying to decide if it will be worth it after buying the PS2 version.

Wii - MSRP: 39.99

Exhibition Mode - Play a one-off match with your favorite team.
Success Mode - Work your way from the Minors all the way up to the Big Leagues!
Season Mode - Play through a full season and compete for the championship.
MLB Life Mode - Experience life as a Major Leaguer.
Home Run Challenge - Hit as many home runs as you can in the span of 10 pitches.
League Mode - Compete in a league with up to 6 players.
Practice Mode - Learn the basics.

PS2 - MSRP: 19.99

Exhibition Mode - Play a one-off match with your favorite team.
Success Mode - Work your way from the Minors all the way up to the Big Leagues!
Season Mode - Play through a full season and compete for the championship.
MLB Life Mode - Experience life as a Major Leaguer.
Home Run Challenge - Hit as many home runs as you can in the span of 10 pitches.
League Mode - Compete in a league with up to 6 players.
Practice Mode - Learn the basics.

DS - MSRP: 29.99

Matchup Mode - Play a one-off match against the CPU or another player.
Playoffs Mode - Re-create the MLB playoffs with this tournament mode.
Home Run Challenge - Hit as many home runs as you can in the span of 10 pitches.
Practice Mode - Learn the basics.
Wireless Play - Compete against another player using DS Wireless.
Download Play - Compete against another player using only one Game Card!

Wow. It's missing season too? Anyway no chance I'll buy it. Wii version is enough, I have several other games that I want, and I have very little money.

I'll pass and hope for a better version in a few years.

I probably will, but for it to be missing so much, I do wish it were cheaper.

The problem with online play games is that once there is a newer version there is never anyone to play.

A bad part about it all is that if the DS version doesn't sell very well, there may not be a next year for it.

I'll cop it, if for no other reason to see what players are in it that aren't in the console version. Then go create them.

For the technology that the DS brings (even with the limitations) I think the game is a good purchase if you love playing baseball. Not having the modes the PS2 and Wii have cripple it a bit but remember that it has a lot less storage capabilities for it. If I still had my DS I would buy it. I do wish that they at the very least have a shortened season mode.

Yes, it's Power Pro on the go and I love me some Power Pro. Especially since they took my PS2 and TV out of my break room at work.

I don't have a DS but I might buy one just for this game. I'd love to play this during those long flights and train rides.

well, i've gone from being excited and planning on buying the DS version in the next few days to being severely disappointed and bummed out. from another messageboard, i had someone confirm that this version is also without wi-fi/online mode just like the PS2 and Wii. the only thing we can do now is hope that 2K gets their act together and gives us the full version of power pros next year that the japanese have enjoyed for over 10 years (with online play in tact). :x

Wow. That makes the DS version practically a "Demo" version, no season, no success, no my life, and no online.

Wow the DS version will suck. I'm not even considering it.
