Has anyone ever done this? Here is the situation: Outfielder catches the third out, and I try to throw the ball in to a base, but instead he flings it up into the stands. And its a power pros fling, like definetly headed for the upper deck, and it happens real fast cuz the inning is over. Not sure how controllable this action is, and I have only seen it three or four times, which makes it that much more mysterious and cool. Discuss. |

I think this has been discussed before. You need to be the home team and have your outfielder catch the 3rd out close to the wall. Not sure how close. I've never actually pulled it off myself. |

I've done it before, it's seemingly at random when it happens and when it doesn't. Pretty cool though. |

I usually only throw to the cutoff man, so I've never seen it happen before. |

Oh, shoot. What does the B button do? Throw to cutoff? I use the classic controller, and B is throw to home. |

B is to cutoff man in nunchuck controls. It would be R in the classic controller. |

I got this to happen for the first time recently. It was in the All-Star Game when I made a running catch with Abreu, so it may just be a Star thing. He wasn't really very close to the stands, and he didn't really flip it into the stands. He made the running catch, then turned and threw it into the stands at about the speed he normally throws it, hopefully nobody got injured by it. |

i've done it with Hamilton, not edited, nor did he have star |
