Well, based on this screencap from a video on IGN, it looks like the rosters are going to be up-to-date to the middle of April at the very least.

The player I have highlighted, Jed Lowrie, didn't make his ML debut with the BoSox until April 15th and also wasn't on the opening day roster -- Japan Series or otherwise.

So, here's a short list of some impact rookies who made their debut prior to then, who could possibly already be on the game:

Gregor Blanco, ATL
Brian Bocock, SFG
Blake DeWitt, LAD
Kosuke Fukudome, CHC
Alexei Ramirez, CHW
Clete Thomas, DET
Wesley Wright, HOU (confirmed in another video)
Brian Barton, STL
Kyle McClellen, STL
Jayson Nix, COL
Matt Tolbert, MIN
Masahide Kobayashi, CLE
Alex Romero, ARI
Callix Crabbe, SDP
Johnny Cueto, CIN
Hiroki Kuroda, LAD
Denard Span, MIN
Burke Badenhop, FLA
Greg Smith, OAK
Evan Longoria, TBR
Jed Lowrie, BOS (confirmed)

Guess we'll just have to see on players like Justin Masterson, Brent Lillibridge, Brandon Boggs and Max Scherzer, who made their debut from the middle of April to the end of the month.

Really wouldn't expect anyone after May 1st though, so looks like no Clayton Kershaw, Charlie Morton or Max Ramirez.

Cool!! Another Jays fan, thought I was the only one. Stewart is a bummer but we also have Rios coming off a good year and Mac with his best offensive year. Hope they have Lind rated well this time. I'm thinking about making a catcher that actually throw a runner out!!!

If they don't have him already, you should make Curtis Thigpen. He's a moderately better arm than Zaun or Barajas, and he's not a horrible hitter (weaker than Roddy B though). And I sure hope Overbay doesn't take too huge a hit on his stats b/c of his craptacular '07. Ya, it's good to have someone to share my grievances with.

We could always make a lefty starting pitcher, with Gustvo out for good, we don't have one. Wonder how well Eckstein is rated.

I want Nick Evans and Argenis Reyes in it, but they debuted in May and July, respectively

I saw in a video that Geovany Soto and Mike Fontenot will be in this game as well! Can't wait!
