This may have been asked before, but what is the best pitch to throw with 2 strikes for you guys?? I think that it varies in season mode, because I was a freak with the low and away change-up, then I simulated the rest of the season, and the next season, I would get hammered on it with 2 strikes. So, I guess there are 2 questions. What's the best pitch to throw with 2 strikes, and do pitches change like it does in my change-up story/question?? Any help would be appreciated, Thanks!!!

Any off-speed pitch, the slower the better. When a good off-speed pitch gets hit, it's usually my fault for not mixing my pitches/locations well enough.

In Power Pros, the knuckleball is a great strikeout pitch.

In Success Mode, a fastball right down the middle.

In regular games, though, I just use the pitchers best breaking pitch, but I prefer a curveball to a slider.

Palmball at levels 1-3, Curve at levels 4-5, Knuckle at 6-7. Palmball is the best thing since sliced bread for young pitchers. In the words of Oprah "You have a Strikeout! And YOU have a strikeout too!"

Oh, and I'm not dead from the non-exsistent Rapture that was suppossedly going to happen at 6:00 EST :P

Personally, I use either a good knucleball or a shutto inside.

I mix it up, away, inside, heart of the plate, but always LOW. I also like to try a Backwards K pitch that comes into the zone after starting outside. Sliders and Curves are good for this.

A little-used knuckleball of any level is usually an automatic swing and miss.

I've never had a knuckleballer, so aside from that, I think a curveball of at least a 3 is the hardest pitch to hit, since it moves laterally and vertically. With a curveball of 4 or 5, I can through it every pitch and get the strikeout or pop up to the infield in 4 or 5 pitches

For strikeout pitches, the pitch is less important than the location & speed. If I've got a pitcher with a mid to low 80s fastball, I'll often through the offspeed stuff initially and then us eth fastball as my strikeout pitch

I recently started a new Season Mode dynasty using the Rockies. Franklin Morales has that slow curve that, for whatever reason, opposing hitters can't figure out. Most of the time they swing and miss by a wide margin, or just watch it drop into the zone.

Also, the trick where you move the pitch location cursor just before your pitcher releases the ball is devastating. For example, press the X button to throw your pitch down and in. As the pitcher goes through his windup, move the cursor up and in, then up and away, then down and away at the last possible moment before the pitcher releases the ball. If the batter swings he will usually flail at one of the other spots you aimed at. Use different patterns (down/away > up/in > up/away > down/in, etc.) to keep the hitters off-balanced.

painting the corners with a breaking ball (usually a curve, although a slider that breaks just inside to the strike zone is great) basically does the trick. Also, if the pitcher has two pitches in the same direction and there's a notable difference between the two, a great thing to do is throw two of one, then switch to the other with two strikes and fool them.

Wake's a challenge, but keep in mind that the knuckler of his has a pretty consistent break downwards, just a matter of left and right on the direction.

And his fastball is slow as heck, so yeah xD

Just sit knuckleball. If the throws anything else lay off of it. Even if you've got 2 strikes on you, he throws slow enough that you ought to be able to fight off anything else.

The only exception I make to this, is that if your player has low contact (maybe E minus-ish), then you may want to sit fastball if you aren't confident enough in hitting the knuckler.

ED44-Does moving the ball around really fool the computer? I know it works on people, but does the computer try to cheat like that?
