What do you think the stats/abilities will be like for Lincecum, Cuerto, Fukudome, Chamberlain, Volquez, Longoria, Ellsury etc? |

Ellsbury is definitly gonna have a high run speed and Joey Votto on the Reds will probably have a decent power stat |

I've already posted my Joba Chamberlain prediction in the password forum so I might as well add it here: 100mph 158CTRL 82STAM 4HSLD 1CHG Battler, Safe Pitch, and maybe Dr K I made this before the season began. Now I think he might get a reduction in velocity (98-99) and possibly a Lv1 curve. His stats would probably be decided before he moves to the rotation so I stand by the low stamina. |

I was thinking pretty close to the same for Ellsbury, give or take a point here or there. I think his PWR will be lower than that though, more like 120. I'll take a shot at Longoria here: TRJ - 3 PWR - 167 CON - 7 RUN SPD - 7 ARM - 12 FLD - 13 ERES - 13 |

Last year, Matsuzaka and Igawa's stats were cloned from the previous year's Japanese Power Pros, which is why their abilities were so inflated. Hopefully, Fukudome and Kuroda will be toned down this year. Fukudome: TRJ 3 CON 11 PWR 158 SPD 12 ARM 12 FLD 8 ERR 11 Tough Out, Patient Hitter, Throwing 4 I factored in his Japanese Power Pros stats. It's also interesting to see whether Kuroda gets a shuuto as he did in Japan or a SIFB/2SFB. Along with Kobayashi he could be one of the game's first default pitchers to have a shuuto. Kuroda: 95mph STAM 185 CTRL 153 SLD 3 / SFF 3 / SHU 2 Unlucky, Poise 4, Fat Pitch |

You might be right on Ellsbury's power. I came up with my figure subtracting from Pedroia's 160 power given on Konami's passwords page. |

I have a feeling that, like last year, they will highly underrate the young guys like Longoria and Volquez and overrate guys like Fukudome and Ellsbury. They'll overrate Ellsbury because he play well in the World Series. Cuerto isn't playing that well but if they base his stats off his first start, he'll be ridiculous. Lincecum should be high along with Chamberlin. If Joba gets higher than a 95 stamina though, I'll have a problem with that. |

Volquelz's stats will be lowered because he's young and has huge potential to grow. |

The World Champs always get a bonus to their stats but I think they mostly look at their numbers. I disagree with a lot of their choices in regards to my favorite team by that could be bias. I figure that's the way it goes with most people though. |

I guess for Fukudome's power it depends on how much they factor in his results thus far. He was a 30HR guy in Japan but hasn't shown much of a power stroke in MLB. Akinori Iwamura had comparable power to Fukudome in Japan, but he has 151 power in MLB PP. |

Diasuke has been having a great year, i wonder if his 2008 stats will reflect this. |

His numbers thus far are a combination of luck and pitching out of jams effectively. I think he'll get similar stats he got in Konami's password update. Maybe his HSLD becomes a regular SLD because he's taken some mph off of it this year. I also wonder if Igawa will get the standard 3A treatment (G control and D stamina, one or two Lv1 pitches etc) or if they will just tone down his old stats. |
