Everyone knows about Bryce Harper and his power feats in high school/college and through sports illustrated. My question though is what would his actual power be in power pros terms? 150?, 170? heck 210? I would just be interested to find out what his power should be then I can create him for the power pros community :)

Maybe a high B rating, or just at A. 190 would be good.

I thought about 190 as on most 80 scouting websites they rate him a 70 or 80. However his hitting ability has been challenged very little thus I don't want to go too high or low with him. But 190 sounds ok

Well, I'd deduct a few points because all that stuff was done with metal bats. So, maybe a 180 or 185.

I agree. He'll get better though as he goes along.

Can an 18-year old jump straight from junior college to the major leagues and hit 35-40 homers in his first season? Nothing is impossible, but I have my doubts. After a year or two int he minors? Definitely. Mike Stanton is a good bet to hit 35-40 homers this season, but with the benefit of 1800 PA's over the course of three professional seasons combined with an insane amount of power for a player his age. Brandon Wood was once considered to have 80 power on the 20-80 scale, but his struggles at the higher levels drastically dampened those expectations. Matt Wieters went from being Jesus to just plain old Matt Wieters in the span of two seasons. I'm not saying 180 PWR would be a mistake - because who knows? I'm just cautious with young players.

That's the worry I had with committing to an amount. I mean he may well hit 30+ homers but have only played 9 winter games there's little evidence of where his powers going to be. Some scouts say he may struggle for average then some say other stuff. Maybe I might wait a bit see how he goes, I mean the power and to some degree the contact are the only 2 areas I'm not 100% sure of
