Why is Shuuto Spin a red ability? I think it'd be pretty cool to have a fastball that randomly breaks. |

Because you have no control of it, and if you aim for a corner it might break outside. Personally I like it, and try for it sometimes, but there are negatives. |

Apparently, when shuuto spin occurs hitters get a power boost. Unconfirmed. Poker face sucks, because it's a lot harder to tell if your pitcher is getting tired. As far as I know, there are no benefits. On the other hand, Hot Head, a red ability, does have the benefits of the pitcher not losing top speed or pitch break when he gets hit hard. (As well as looking absolutely hilarious when he vents.) Instead, the pitcher loses control. |

I've found Shuuto spin to be beneficial sometimes, but it often spins in that direction when you don't want it to - aim for a corner, end up outside for a ball. |

For example, I believe there is one that is something like "Pull Hitter/Push Hitter" that is half and half. |

Yes, in case you didn't know, Poker Face, Pull Hitter, and Sparkplug (2007 only) are 'neutral' abilities, that have a half red/half blue color. |
