I know these guys have yet to play in the Majors let alone minors, but was wondering if anyone could aid in coming up with there stats. I know Ackley is projected to move to Centre Field but scouts are apparantley unsure of what his power would project to.

CF is Ackley's natural position. He only played 1B for a year at UNC to protect his arm after an injury. The M's initial plan is to convert him to 2B. If that doesn’t work, he’ll come up as a CF and play LF with M’s if Gutierrez is still there. At the plate, he is sometimes compared to a young Todd Helton, but now that he is moving to 2B you will probably hear a lot of Chase Utley comps. He doesn’t project to have that kind of power, but the dude is a rake artist.

TRJ 2
CON 8
PWR 120
SPD 12
ARM 10
FLD 10
ERES 12

Barehand Catch, Throwing 4, Consistent 4, Gd Eye. Contact HTR, Spray Hitter, Clutch 4, Gd IF HTR, Hot Hitter, Gd B2B HTR, Star, Base Running 4.

I’m a biased M’s fan, so I may have given him some extra Special Abilities. He deserves two or three of from the Gd Eye/Contact HTR/Spray Hitter/Tough Out group and we know he can make a barehanded grab (every IF can). His home-to-first times are good (Gd IF HTR) and is reportedly a smart base runner (Base Running 4).

Tate is all speculation at this point, but scouts project a future Mike Cameron > Chris Young > Jeff Francouer type with max potential of Andruw Jones during his peak years.

I didn’t know anything about Pollock so I just watched a couple videos of him in college. His swing is leaky I don’t see a lot of ceiling. He probably projects to have average to below average power (14-17 HR peak) with a decent AVG (.280-.290), although his patience and approach (reportedly very good) could lead to better numbers in both categories. Sounds like he has above average speed and is still learning to play CF after converting from 2B.
