Do Pitching forms and batting forms have anything to do with actual performance in this game? I know if I edited Roy Halladay to have K-Rod's Pitching style he would through more or less pitches? Maybe if I gave Pujols some weird original batting stance, would it help his hitting or hurt it? Would he still have the exact same bat speed. I know that in my Custom arrange team, San Jose Sharks, made up of completely radical players made from editing real players. I've put some weird combinations out there such as a starter with the really high leg kick (ala Sittch) or a closer with a workhorse like pitching form. The starters always seem to not live up to their high stamina. Also, you know how you press the button, for me it's b on the classic controller, to speed up the pitch? If you have more time to mash that button, via a longer windup/delivery, will it be faster? Need some clarification/testing or even just recollections of times when stats didn't match up with abilities. Thanks in advance. |

A Longer windup (CC, Dice-K) givesyou more speed. |

Pitching and hitting stances can make a huge difference A pitcher with a unique type of stance like Danys Baez can be very effective As for hitting, players like Berkman, Adrian Gonzalez and Josh Hamilton have normal stance where they don't move the bat at all and they seem to struggle no matter how much you edit them until you change their stance |

It always seemed like hitters with normal stances just have off years and pull it together with new stances For some reason, I have so much trouble with Danys Baez and Greg Aquino because they have this slow stance and then pow! My bat just shrinks and it seems like they have intimidator |

Wait wait wait, sorry to interupt but, you can increase speed if you mash the button?!?! |

Not really mash, but click repeatedly. Btw, you "mash" A |

Just be sure not to do it too often, as it drains more of your stamina as well. EDIT: I mean don't do it too often with a starter. Stamina doesn't matter for short relievers, of course. |

Open 6 is what I seem to do best with It's just slightly different timing/look that messes with your mentality. It might just be the look. That's why My Life is so easy, you get so used to one hitters stance that even on powerful you can hit 550. But when you do a team, no one will, because your timing is different for each guy. I like the one-handed stance. I try to get as much of a variety as I can for a challenge. |

yeah, it only matters as a sort of "mental" thing. forms won't affect simming at all. For me, the one-handed stance "forces" me to bat with the contact swing, because for some reason big swing one handed doesn't work out for me. Similarily, some stances (I think it's Open 16) "force" me to bat with big swing, because the contact swing just doesn't feel right. |

Yeah that's kinda what I was saying in my previous post. I never hit for power with crouching stances... |
