This may be a stupid question, but is there a certain way to put in passwords on the wii? Ive tried to put in passwords to add players to my system, but when I get done and hit OK it just dings and wont go any farther. Also should I be using the input button before each entry? Thank You for any input.

You probably made a typo somewhere. Double-check the password to confirm that it's correct.

Yeah, it 'errrrks' even when you miss one measly character. Are you doing this by hand or by the picture on here?

It's a typo, on your first few times it's almost impossible to get it working within an hour.

the way i put in PW's i look at the pic in the thread memorize 3 characters at a time and put them in. alomost every time, ive messed up on at least one, either putting in a G for a g, etc, or puttin LmD for LDm.......with eight lines of characters its almost impossible to be perfect

I've been trying to add a password on the wii as well...and have run into this same issue...is there a specific sound that's supposed to happen or does the screen switch to somewhere else?

[i've tried about 15 different times from passwords on these boards and some other page that had players like cy young and hank aaron.and nothing seems to happen]

First of all, 07 passwords aren't compatible with 08. Second of all, if the password's wrong, you'll hear an errrrrk sound. If it's correct, it will show you the player, press A and add it to your custom player list. Entering passwords is much easier if you copy and paste the picture onto Microsoft Word, or a word-processing program similar to it, and print it out.

wii and ps2 passwords aren't compatible either.
common mistakes I make are capitalization and switching 2 letters around.
