I was just wandering what some good combinations are for going for a no hitter or perfect game, i have tried it a couple of times but something always messes it up for me :x

So what do you think the best combo is for a perfect game

Pitcher-
Pitcher's Team-
Other Team-
Stadium-
Difficulty-
Manual or Auto Fielding-

If there is not a pitcher who is really good for it what pitches would be best to give a custom/ edited player ?

the pitcher should, of course, have an A in stamina, and he should have at least average breaking balls (2+ breakers, including 2 seamer)
The other team can have decent power, but high contact/run speed is hard to cope with (outrunning IF grounders, DPs, etc.)
manual fielding as well, your own team should be at least decent at Defense and should have average (or above) arm strength (especially at 3B, SS) and run speed (tracking down balls in OF)

Ya the stuff that Jackson said, and you have to be smart with your outfield shifts, if your in the NL and you face a pitcher, always have the outfield up, sane case with guys like ichiro or freddy sanchez who don't hit fir power, so if you have the outfield in for these guys then it negates the chance of bloopers into the outfield falling

don't be afraid to try IF Back, OF Up or IF Up, OF Back.

Hmm i actually never tried changing the infield and outfield i only used to do it when they had somebody on third and less then 2 outs ill try that. Any specific pitchers that you guys would recommend ? I would think for the opposing team it would be somebody like the SD Padres or Giants, or even Rays right ?

I would choose Brandon Webb. Why? He has an outstanding Sinker, and he has other good pitches that can be used effectively.

Sadly, the diamondbacks are not too good at fielding. Try the braves. They have good arm strength and a great starter in John Smoltz. Their outfielders have good speed. Infielders have good arm strength. Tex, Johnson (A) Jones (C) SS (D)

The Giants are surprisingly good for this, as their outfield is incredibly fast (dave roberts, randy winn, aaron rowand), and their infield is good enough, and a molina @ catcher is always good for defense.
finally, lincecum and[/or] cain and pray for rain.

After I finish the team and get to take all the pictures, you could use my success mode arrange team, who will have a maxed defensive player at every position :)

I've only done it once. In any game (ASB 2000, IIRC). And I've come tantalizingly close in others. Only thing I can say for sure is there is no best combo, they just tend to happen.
