Background: ------------- 1)The Dover FreeAgents are my newest arrange team made up of, you guessed it, all the FAs in MLBPP 08, with their regular abilities. 2)The games described are Wii Remote games only. Enjoy the show! GAME 1 -------- FAs 4, Red Sox 2 (F/10) Review: The Sox took a 2-run lead in the 4th and 5th, but, starting with Pinch Hitter Thomas Perez, the FAs got 2 runs in the 9th to tie, while in the bottom of the 9th, Setup Man Yorman Bazardo got out of a runners-on-second-and-third jam by striking out Julio Lugo to send it to extras. The FAs got two runs in the 10th and Closer Hideo Nomo struck out David Ortiz to end it. W-Morris, L-Beckett, S-Nomo |

GAME 2 -------- FAs 5, Yankees 0 Review: The first inning was the main reason that the FAs won the game, with two dingers off of Andy Pettite, courtesy of Great Alexander and Dan Johnson on the same pitch: the Curveball. Chuck James pitched all 9 innings strong, striking out 8 and allowing only 5 hits. W-James, L-Pettite, S-N/A REMINDER: The next games between the Blue Jays and Orioles are set to be on the FAs' home turf. |

Looks really cool! I love the idea. After Morris, Nomo, and James, there really aren't any good starting pitchers anymore. Who are you going to start in games 4 & 5? The Free Agents are actually pretty decent defensively, but mediocre offensively, and total suckage pitching (except for the above 3), I think, so it wouldn't be that bad. In fact, I might just want to try this out myself. WARNING: I will be using Barry Bonds!!! jacobye46 wrote: ok so tell me your batting order, rotation, and your home stadium ditto. |

Apple: I don't really know what difficulty it's on because it's Wii Remote Mode, because I don't want blowouts in Exhibition but do like the bullpen idea. jacobye: I'll try to do that later, but just for now I'll tell you that I'm using the local ballpark as home base for my team, but also like to use GoA (Golden Apples) stadium most times, but mostly use LB because of the strength of my team. Also, Dan Johnson's my leadoff man and plays 1B. Longball: Nomo is my closer and Morris and James are two of my starters, Bazardo is my setup man and Sarloos is my MR. Will be filling in more starters as the games progress, also thinking about putting Hernandez in G4. P.S.: * |

Since it's just an exhibition game and not season mode, you could just start Morris every game... but I assume you want to be realistic. Dan Johnson seems to fit in the middle of the order better with that B power. what about E. Gonzalez? he's a got a good top speed and decent breaking balls, but bad control. I like to pick him up at the beginning of season mode. I would think that he is a better pitcher than all of the FA pitchers other than Morris, Nomo, and James. |

I think he's my 5th guy in the rotation or the Swing man, but I'm not sure. |

enrique gonzalez is a pretty good hitter for a pitcher, and has good arm strength, so since his pitching stats arent that great, maybe you could convert him to an infielder/outfielder and work on his hitting this season, well you should maybe only do that if he struggles at pitching |

GAME 3 --------- Blue Jays 4, FAs 5 Review: You can call this FAs squad the "Comback Guys" in about less than a heartbeat. The main reason they were down by 2 after the top of the 5th is because of a blooper that was popped up way high behind first base. The only person the computer controlled was the RIGHT FIELDER. You heard it right, the RIGHT FIELDER. It dropped in after I thought that the 1B was going to get to it, but he was covering the base. So then another person drove him in. Then in the top of the 6th, Matt Stairs hit a 475-foot bomb to Center Field and nobody would catch it because it was out of the park. That sent starter Fernando Hernandez to the showers after 4 innings, striking out only a couple. Then in the bottom of that inning, the FAs tied it up, but would be short lived as the Blue Jays got two more runs in the 7th to make it 4-2. Then after another great pinch-hitting performance by Thomas Perez, the FAs went up 5-4 and Hideo Nomo shut down the Jays to seal it up. W-Bazardo L-Halladay S-Nomo Next Game: vs. Orioles possibly tomorrow. Also, Happy Martin Luther King, Jr. Day! |

oh, so the computer picked the "right" fielder to control, right? It must have selected the correct fielder. ![]() If Tomas Perez is your pinch hitter, who's playing second base? Nice comeback. Again, I would like to see your lineup and rotation. |

GAME 4 -------- Orioles 4, FAs 5 F/12 Review: The fans held their collective breaths in the bottom of the 12th. Brady Clark came to the plate with runners at the corners with 1 away. He hits a towering fly ball that stays in the ballpark, which sent Dan Johnson home to the plate, winning the game in 12 innings, and it was a long one. 2 homers by Aubrey Huff and 1 by Great Johnson put the Os up by 3, 4-1. Hideo Nomo came in and helped stop the bleeding in the 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th. But the biggest opportunity came in the Bottom of the 10th, when the bases were loaded with 2 out. Joe Dillon grounded out to stop a perfect scoring opportunity. Then Brady Clark's Sac Fly won the game in the 12th, earning him our Burger King "King of the Game" W-Nomo L-Thompson S-N/A Reminder:The next games vs. the Rays and Indians are scheduled to be played at Tropicana Field (Rays) and Jacobs (Don't like "Progressive") Field (Indians). P.S: Happy MLK Day!!!!!!!! |

GAME 5 -------- FAs 4, Rays 1 Review:There was no doubt about the pitching of Enrique Gonzalez, only giving up one run to the Rays, but exiting in the 5th. Carlos Squirrel pitched the rest of the game, except the 9th, where AAA closer Bob Tomlinson got the save. W-Squirrel L-Wheeler S-Tomlinson Next Game: @ Indians |

GAME 6 --------- FAs 5 Indians 1 Review: The only runs were produced by dingers on both ends of the spectrum. In the top of the first, Dave Soderquist and Dan Johnson launched a 2, then 3-run homers in that inning, while the only hope for the Indians was a Travis Hafner HR in the bottom of the 9th, but another highlight was that Matt Morris notched 13 Ks today.
