that should be what this ability is. Anyone can get lucky and put their glove up and have the ball drop in. It takes someone to get lucky a lot (or some skill) to do it consistently.

On the Classic Controller, just run up against the wall and press A. I don't know what it is for Wiimote + Nunchuck though.

With Spider catch, I think you can just go up really (really) high on the outfield fence. Ive seen some pretty impressive wall climbs and think that the ones where a player gets really high up are from the spider catch skill. Never double checked to see if the opposing player had it, but I saw someone climb way up the monster in Boston once on a all star exibition game.

So anyone can climb the wall, but I believe only those with spider catch can climb up the higher walls and steal HRs. I think its a 2 button press as well, one button to climb, then a second to boost that extra jump...but ive not been able to do it myself, just seen the computer do it on powerful defense setting.

Sadly, this has never happened to me. I have never witnessed a spider catch.

Go into fielding practice. Hit a towering fly ball into the outfield(gap is best). Then have a fielder run to the wall and press circle. Or the wii equivalent. The players runs up the wall and jumps off.

go to arrange team, and make one with ichiro on the red sox.
then use that team in fielding practice, put ichiro in left field, and watch him fly off the green monster. he can jump as high as the scoreboard's top!
