Home run derby stats are the system wide stats from 2007. You can edit these stats by using My Data.

Wait, so it records data from last years game in there as well?
By the way, wouldn't it be interesting to have a home run derby competition before the all-star game in my life? You could win some small reward for winning.

Haha, it's not really a jinx. It's more so that players mess up there swings trying to hit home-runs. If you change one little thing in your swing, you could screw yourself up and be hitless for a week.

when I went to my data it only let me change my rbi and home runs there was no place to change my power, control etc.

did you do edit custom player? You can always use them in a HR derby. If you go to Edit player, it will let you change a player to your liking so you can use your life guy in HR derby.
