I don't know if any of you out there are pitchers in real life, but when I first did Success mode, I tried to make my pitcher as much like myself as I could, but with exhageration of course. Anyways, my pitcher in the game throws 101, 4 Curve, 4 Slider, 3 Change and 7 Custom. Well, I can throw all of those pitches according to their level, yes, I'm that good in real life, except my Change isn't as great as it could be. Anyways, to the main attraction! I learned, by accident, how to throw my custom pitch in real life! My custom pitch in the game is a fork pitch with more rise, and in real life, it's so crazy! I figured this out about 2 weeks ago, but I've been able to locate it consistenly alot better since then. but man, in terms of spin and break, exactly like the game, since it shows hos the ball spins after it's pitched. But yea, in the game, it's called the Upsilon, but in real life, I call it the Split-Change due to how it's held. I think it may already exist, but no one I know has ever seen it, and man, did I buckle guys! Sorry, just wanted to say it because it's Freaking Awesome! |

You throw above major league average pitches in real life (the game considers '3' an average major league pitch? Hopefully you're at least in someone's farm system if not already on a major league roster ![]() I was a pitcher, and threw a well above average CB and CCHG for the high school and college level, but unfortunately I only had an average high school 2SFB (I didn't bother with a 4SFB) and consequently a below average college fastball. Topping out at 83 doesn't get you a lot of scouting, regardless of your command and effectiveness -lol- |

However, your custom Pitch (not sure what it's like) sounds a little bit like a foshball. Of course whether it's a foshball like or not not many real life pitchers can throw that. Would it be possible to give us a Video of what it looks it when you throw it? I mean like movement, not how you grip it beacause it's your own secret pitch. |

I sort of figured out how to throw the Vertical Slider, or more likely a variation of it. The Real Life pitch (I call it a curve change) moves in about the same way as the Vertical Slider, but with less downward movement. Sucks that I have absolutely no control in real life hahaha. If you want me to I'll post the throwing method. It's actually very simple and I don't mind revealing the secret. |

I can only throw a vertical slider sidearm, it turns out to be more like a splitter though. |

My slider has so much snap that it's been known to break the sound barrier as it turns over. |

I don't really thinks their is an exact Name for a Vertical Sld beacause sometimes it could just be a splitter or something, I didn't even know that that kind of pitch existed. |

Well, I can try and get a video up, but I don't have a camcorder, I 'll try and get one from my friend, but yea, it's pretty awesome, I struck out an entire side using that pitch, and man, it felt great! But I admit, my control and consistency isn't that great with that pitch, so it'll be hard to see it at it's best. But yea, I mean, every coach I've played for says my control isn't there yet, so in terms of the game grading system, I'd be a G, F if I'm lucky, sadly.... |

Then I would take a break practicing with Breaking Balls, and work on the control of you fastball. It doesn't matter how great your breaking balls are, you need to have good control and command of the fastball. Don't worry about getting a video up. |
