I've wondered about this since '07 In the cinematic screens after your player hits a home run (not a walk off), how many different animations have you seen for when your player actually touches home base? Last year the only animations I ever got were: 1) player slows and touches home (very dramatic, almost in slow-mo 2) Player continues running at normal speed as they touch home. Today however after a grueling pitching duel in exhibition mode that had the score stuck at 1-0 till the top of the 8th, one of my created players hit a 3 run home run. As he came home he did a little bunny hop onto home base. (Which was cool since I was doing pretty much the same thing in my living room). So are those the only 3 variations on the coming home after a homerun animation. |

during my season's all-star game in power pros 2007, i had pujols hit a clutch 3 run hr in the 9th to tie the game and take it into extras. as he stepped on home plate, he made the sign of the cross with his hands then pointed up to the sky. |

Yes, but I think that might just be a Pujols thing. I don't actually think I've ever seen anyone ELSE do that. |

David Ortiz does his typical kiss hands touch chest kiss hands point to sky routine |

I've done the bunny hop onto home. He runs normally, then does a single bunny hop to touch home base. |

David Akers, the Eagles kicker, also does it when he makes a field goal (obviously in real life ![]() |

I've had Carlos Zambrano and Juan Uribe do the cross/sky point as well. Could it be a Latin thing? |

I think I've seen Manny hold his arms out for a few seconds while running, and he's standing there at home plate "admiring" his ball. |

David Ortiz just hit a 3 run homer off me. He did the point to the sky thing as well. |

The "sky point thing" is called the sign of the cross. It is a christian religion thing that they do when the pray and such. As i said in my earlier post, many athletes do it when the are succesful at something (home run, feild goal etc.) |

I meant, "Could it be a Latin thing in the game?". I haven't seen a non-Latin player do that particular animation in the game. |
