That game was my childhood too until I was like 12. And then I played it non-stop again during Chuggaaconroy's LP. I'm such a nerd...

Also, in case anybody hasn't figured this out yet and I've forgotten to mention it up to this point (I'm sure I've mentioned it somewhere, but that's besides the point), I plan to make a log once 30 teams are done, so if you have a favorite game you can make a team of it and hope they can win the World Series.

I might end up even using someone else's team, I have no plan yet of which team I want to control of it, I'm thinking I'll just randomly generate a number from 1 to 30 and use that team.

I don't know how many exhibition games I may wind up doing, or if it'll work out so I can do them at all, as it is, I'm going to proceed as if I'll do an exhibition game for every 4 teams entered in, meaning ultimately half the teams will be showcased if this works out. I'll use polls to decide which teams will get in games.

I started one now, I'm starting them a bit in advance so I can do the exhibition game as soon as the teams are ready, so I need the votes before then. I'll use the team with the most votes and be against the team with the second most votes at the time I look at the poll to decide which teams will be used, votes after that won't matter, and all tie-breakers will be settled by me.

The two that don't make it will be in the later polls along with the newer teams, so no need to worry if your team doesn't make it right away. If you haven't made a team, the earlier you do, the more likely you can get an exhibition video with your team in it. Easier for them to win if they face 5 other teams in the polls than if they face 9 or more, right?

Edit: Forgot to mention, I should be ready by the end of the week, barring any unforeseen incidents that will delay my 4th team from creation.

I would watch a video of my team, but probably not the other games.

Did anybody think of Street Fighter or Tekken?

Last boss on Dark Cloud is delaying my completion a little bit here. I'll use this time to ask the question of how many people are actually interested in the videos.

I have notice from 1 that may not watch any of the games, and 1 that might watch and wouldn't care about audio problems. I'm probably going to do a few no matter how little interest there is because it would be fun for me to do, but if it gets boring and nobody watches them then I'll probably stop.

Also, still need several teams from other people at the moment.

Added Pokemon to the bottom of the to-do list, but I would much rather someone else take over the team before I get there. At the current rate, if I wind up doing Pokemon, I would still need 10 more teams from other people, making a total of 12. I'm hoping I'll be able to find more games as it doesn't look like people will wind up making even half of that. If I can find enough games by myself and make all of the teams I estimate this project could be ready in as soon as... 2 years?

Finished 4 teams, but the video thing probably isn't going to work. The Dazzle doesn't want to work at all in recording anymore, it drops about 1500 frames in half an inning, that's probably more than it even captures. I've tried it multiple times with everything being set in the best possible recording conditions.

I think you're getting in over your head. Considering you're getting no help, I think you'll get bored and quit before long before you finish. I don't understand why people don't do normal logs more often though and take a regular team to the top, like ChiCubs Royals log or my Pirates log. You can start instantly and they're the most realistic

Yeah, only you could do DC Comics instead of Marvel. Because I don't want you doing EXACTLY what I did.

I've definitely already changed my approach to this significantly. My original plan was to play all the games again and use all my free time working on it, now it's more like only playing the games I feel like (for games I can easily find a lot of character information online, games not like Eternal Ring), and just doing work on it whenever I feel like.

I think ultimately those decisions cancel each-other out in how long it'll take, so it still may take 1-3 years. The not having to play games speed things up while the slacking off on it slows them down.

And nobody likes regular rosters because they've been the same rosters for 4 years, they got old 3 or 4 years ago. The rosters have even been getting old on created-team logs, I wind up seeing the same free-agent pool in every one and signing several of the same free agents.

I'm going to start playing Dark Cloud 2 soon, because the Dark Cloud series is just flat-out amazing and I'd be playing it this summer whether I had some insane idea in my mind or not.

I've already removed the cap completely because adding up the numbers was lengthy and boring. I'm just rating players whatever I feel like now. I think on some players I'm clueless on how to rate I may just use random number generators to decide attributes on, that could be fun, but more importantly, it would be easy.

Now finished the 5th team overall.

I think in the future I need to make sure at least most of the player stats are thought through before going to edit them into the game. Editing players into the game from scratch is really annoying and I don't know if I did a good job on the stats... Ah well, I guess it's not exactly unrealistic if some teams in the league wind up better than others. The real unrealistic thing would be if every team had exactly equal skill, no sports league is ever going to actually be like that in real life.

Also, would those who entered a team (and those who will enter a team in the future... hopefully...) select a player on their team to be named team captain? It doesn't matter if they're a fielder or a pitcher. It's usually the main character of the game, but all the teams people entered so far don't really have a main character.
