I was sooo much better at last years success mode when it came to making great players, it might've just been that I had a ton of patience/time(I didn't do any school work last year so I had nothing else to do). I have been thinking about trying to make an awesome player this year but just haven't gotten good enough at it.

I definitely feel that 07' was better. Every arc was pretty much random depending on how you were playing the game. (studying more, practicing more, etc.)

Like someone said before, this year, it feels as though every trip through success mode is virtually the same. You can basically pick which arc's you want to go through, meaning, I'm going to pick the best ones every time.

There are still things I haven't seen on 07'. I feel that I've seen it all already in 08'.

And c'mon, everlasting surprise bags in 08'?? What a joke! Too easy! I had to play the game perfect in 07' just to get a few surprise bags. Making it that much more satisfactory to achieve one of the special abilities, or the gambling ring for that matter.

I want more randomness!!!

I like 08 success mode. I prefer having more control over which REs/skills my player gets, and not taking as much time to make a really good guy. I never played 07, but it sounds like the success mode offered alot more options on playstyle, at the expense of much more time invested in S/L to get it all perfect.

I prefer the less time/easier to create great players approach. The bottom line is I wont even have enough time to create my whole team in 08 before 09 comes out, so anything that makes it quicker and more efficient to S/L a great player faster is all good by me.

Unlimited suprise bags For teh WIN!

I couldn't have said it better Mr. Welz. With the first few characters, there isn't much of a difference, but once you get to the 15th or so, its just so boring and predictable. 07 was fresh every time. Plus, the music was less repetitive and way better haha.

that music in the final game drove me INSANE! It drove me up a wall because I had to paly it over and over and over again because I didn't have scout eval high enough. i dint realize why i was too stupid to mute it all those times ago. Be back in a half hour, going to try AGAIN...

This years, right? Look at my tips in your thread in success mode. Last years music was fine. I don't mind that music though.

I actually like this year's music better than last year's.

Like I said, 2007 was funnier, more fresh, and was easier to make maxed out PITCHERS. 2008 was easier to make maxed out FIELDERS.

I agree, although I make much better pitchers this year for some reason.

The practice cards are a pain.

Yes they are, and the Tarrot cards added a lot more flavor and mixes things up more.

I have to say last years success mode was so much funner, this years I barely see anything happen. I can't just play this years success mode without s/l to have any fun because it's just too uneventful for me.

Well, I finally cured this. I got determined yesterday to make an amzing pitcher and have. I'm not done yet, but I have him at these stats on Jan Week 2 year 2:
102 mph
132 sta
139 ctr
Lvl 7 slurve
Lvl 4 v-sld
Lvl 1 snk

I plan on reloading for a good job operation, and getting 4 maxed out pitches(add a sinking fastball), and possibly give him good batting stats.
