They are mostly radical ideas, instead of the rather ordinary ones you posted

I say maybe have the catcher put down signs. I mean like a ring around that pitch in the pitch selection thing. And it lights up where he wants it thrown. That takes good catcher abilities to a new level! (Plus no fingers down because power pros people don't have fingers! I think they someting like that in the Japenese versions though)

1) make the 'extra' cities have a staduim. IE, if you select TOLEDO as your team's city, make sure that when they are on the map and showing the plane/etc that it comes to/from toledo, even if you chose Comerica Park.

2) allow a season created with entire fake teams with fake rosters instead of MLB players

I think they should make an option where the umpires can miss calls but your manager can argue and try to change them. The option could be turned on and off. You'd have to start arguing first before the manager comes out. If you don't argue the call, your manager doesn't have a need to stick his neck out for you if he doesn't have to.

Fix the freindship things OR do them this way. If you become good buddies you are a pair. Marvin, Success Guy. Manny, Ortiz. Alvin, Mark. You play better and get a stat increase if you are pitcher and catcher, hitting back to back in the lineup. You know, stuff like that.

Fixing the announcer is one of the top things for me..... but more importantly in MLB life mode - GIVE PITCHERS RUN SUPPORT! Allow users to change the settings for the oppositions batters so that no matter how well you pitch you're still going to give up the occasional run but these situations where your pitcher has an ERA of 0.5 and has more losses than wins because most of the time your own team never scores a single run when you're pitching is ridiculous. Also - is the friendship/technique thing fixed in 2008? I haven't tried season mode yet but if it isn't... then fix that too.

How about this: Have your coach ask you to lay down a bunt or pop one up for a sac fly. Depending on how well you did would effect how much your coach likes you. As a pitcher, maybe he could ask you to bean someone, throw inside, intentionally walk someone.

This shouldn't be to hard for them to program.

Imagine in the game: 1 out, runner on 2cb, 8th inning of a tied game, coach asks you to lay down a bunt. Would ya?

Lineup options where you can set up platoons.

Improve the Home Run Derby. Traditional format and multiplayer, definitely. Online would be sweet.
Online Roster updates.
Bullpen option in all modes.
Improve walks, allow beanballs.
Allow Alt. jerseys to be used in all modes.
Allow cloned Arrange teams to use the Alternate jerseys you buy for the main team.
Good/Bad at home/away, and Good/Bad vs [team] as Special Abilities.
Really minor, but I'd like to see a cutscene where the manager comes out and takes the ball from the pitcher when he calls to the pen.
More batting/pitching stances.
Manager edit. Allow use to edit managers for every team on the main roster similar to how we edit lineups/rotation/roles for Arrange Teams so that the computer plays realistic. Difference is, we can also edit the look and attitude of the team's manager. In a bad game, you could have a cut scene where a hothead manager will storm out and argue, perhaps raising the teams' condition. Or he could come out and chew out the pitcher, and lower his condition. Or the manager could rally the team from the dugout for a boost. This part could be toggled off.

Dump Merluzzi, get a pro announcer, like Bob Uecker.

including legends of baseball like Babe Ruth, Ty Cobb, Ted Williams, Walter Johnson, etc. as unlockables. And old ballparks

What about an addition to Success Mode, something like the choice between doing a personal workout (getting the most experience points for yourself) or a team workout (getting less experience points, but the rest of the team benefits and you have an easier time winning games)

Be allowed to set the runner speed in fielding practice and choose from the running abilities. Try to get a max speed guy out in the infield, or try to turn a triple (or quadruple just for fun) play with the slow runners. Also to be able to throw to cutoff with infielders, the CPU does it! And obviously switch players on those cheap infield singles. Bunt to third: It controls: C,P,3B,SS all on one play

Make the fans 3-d and not flat.

For the Wii, I want them to get rid of the passwords and have a posting plaza of characters like in the Check Mii out channel so we can download them

Full Minor League Rosters
Add AAA and AA! I don't care about the player names (more on that later) just add some function to them so they don't end up being holding places for mediocre players.

Random Generated Names
This is one of the little things that bothers me. Why the lmited names? Just do what other baseball games do with fake rookies. Combine two existing names from the name data, and you got yourself a fielder not named Person! For example, just randomly combine first and last names from existing players, ex. Michael Hamilton, or Alex Thomas! Anything would be an improvemnt over having my top prospect being named "Thrower".

It would be nice to have a rising fastball. A lot of pitchers have that irl.
And the eephus pitch.

More benefit from marriage in Life Mode. Here's my idea:
Mia-More likely to win awards(sportscaster, more popular when deciding)
Nicoel-Durability 4 (doctor, less likely to get injured)
Emily-Lunch is cheaper (waitress, self explanatory)
Emma-Store is cheaper (store clerk, self explanatory)
Evelyn-Star ability or just more fans (movie star, more popular with people)
Anna-people will like you even more for donating to charity (charity worker, slef explanatory)

I would also like to have a baserunner mode/camera a la MLB 2K5. Where after you get on base you can elect to swap to control the baserunner and let the CPU hit for the next batter while you adjust your lead, decide to steal or take the turn at second on a base knock. This would be great in all modes, but especially in success/life where you could do more than just bat, but try to steal and earn quickness points, earn points toward agressive runner ability or whatnot.

When you make a success player, I want the ability to add him to WHATEVER team I want in Life Mode.

It's annoying when I make a pitcher for the Jays but then I have to create another pitcher for the Rays.....instead of having to make two different pitchers I want to be able to use one pitcher and place him on two (or more) diffrent Life modes.

The knuckler is too powerful so it should come with its drawbacks. catchers should be required to have a special ability Knuckle Catch (unbuyable, not obtainable from SoD and extremely rare) or else half of the time they suffer passed balls.

knuckleballs should be wild pitches about 10-20% of the time, a lot more than the other pitches, regardless of Knuckle Catch ability.

1) AL teams need to PH for their pitchers late in games when playing in NL teams parks. it doesnt happen often if ever.
2) dont stretch success mode from 10 to 20, stretch it to 30 like every other baseball game.
3) make minor leagues deep. include a AAA and AA team for each team so you can build up your franchise.
4) fully customizable create a team. from jerseys, to concessions, to coaches, to stadium. have finances from your sales directly affect how much money you have left to spend on players in the offseason.
5) custom leagues. if you only want 24 teams and 4 divisions in your league....so be it. you should make the leagues more customizable so if you want 24 created teams to be in your league and have it just be those created teams then you should be able to get it that way.
6) make bunting a little easier and close plays at bases a little easier to see how close the play went or if the player was safe or out.
7) PS3!!!!!!!!!!!!! please!

Give US the option if we want to see the purple, orange, blue, or grey lines on a players namebar. Some people might keep it there, but I would love to get rid of it, it completely annoys me. Or at least change the color of the edited people to a better color, not purple. I know exactly why they do it, I just don't want to look at those ugly bars.

A new fastball pitching system:
Fastball Family:
4 seam FB - standard, straight fastball
2 seam FB - same as current 2 seamer
Sinking FB - more sink, less horizontal break than 2 seam
Rising FB - like a 4SFB except with slight rise (no horizontal movement)
Change Sinking Fastball (of shuuto family) to Tailing Fastball.
Each has a rating of one to three.
You can pick the type of fastball at the opening screen (the one where you pick your position) in Success Mode.
The fastballs above are arranged in order of how much experience points you need to upgrade.(4SFB least, Rising FB most)

Trading Block for season mode

Power Major Points for life. 2000 for WS, 1500 for pennant, 1000 for LDS win, 500 to win divison or wild card. you should get points as soon as you earn them, so 2000 from the WS also nets you 1500 from the pennant and 1000 from the division series, etc. Also, you shouldn't get anything for getting through the season, but you should get points for awards:
MVP:4000
Cy Young: 4000
Gold Glove:2000
etc.

I want to be able to import my Arrange teams into Life mode, and then pick one of those players to play through with, so I could be on a team with all my Success guys. That would be cool. Something like that.

Just like there is a Recovery ability for pitchers, I think that there should be a recovery ability for hitters. Basically, it would reduce fatigue in season mode/MLB Life mode, like a "rest" practice in season and MLB Life mode. A pitcher could also have this, to relieve his fatigue, too.

This one is just a suggestion, and some of you might not like it a lot, but I'll say it anyway: In the final success mode game (as in sittch game in '08 or superstar game in '07), a randomly chosen created player that you've already made joins the team to help you. Wouldn't that be cool?

Sorry for book of a post.

Platoons are when 2, or possibly more players, share a position and share a split amount of time at that position
Heres an example since yoru a rays fan: You had a platoon in right field since you didn't really have anyone that really had the job out there, so your right field platoon was Gross, Zobrist, and Baldelli when he was healthy. My explanation sounds confusing but I hope you can understand it

I sent it!
Edited it a bit more, added some of Longball's ideas.
I also asked when the game's coming out, and had a reference to the site.

Those aren't ALL my ideas, I just went back and looked up anything radical that wasn't covered. The Fastball Family was my best idea.

Just if you didn't know.
