MLB Life

1.) Demand to be traded.
2.) Hold Press Confrences about the coaches, etc. . .
3.) They need to add Single A and Double A. Things like that would make it funner.
4.) Be able to play until you want to retire, not to a certain age.
5.) Team Captains
6.) Being able to play defense and run the bases, not just when your hitting.
7.) Being able to take steroids, at the cost of your career.
8.) A better storyline with more possible women to marry and stuff.
9.) Able to talk to other team's players and staff

I think 7 wont be there. I don't think MLB would approve a game the encourages taking drugs.

Dr. Goodjob is the same thing... technically.

I do see your point, though.

Blitz: The League does that, but it's rated M. Bad idea with steroids.

Blitz the League is a good game. And, yeah, I guess it is a bad idea

Never played it. Still a bad idea. Sorry, it's just not going to happen since the game is targeted to kids (hence the "Fun for Kids of All Ages!" on the back of the '07 version).

Bingo. that would make steriods seem good to kids. Bad image. I still want the ability to make female characters. If that female in japan makes it, they'll have to, won't they?

why would you want a women in the MLB? And MLB > Japan baseball. A women will NEVER make it to the MLB. One might make it to single-A one year, but that's it.

And don't give me any "Japan won the WBC" B.S. Play a 162 game season: USA vs Japan. USA would win over 100 games. And round 2 is coming up this March.

On March 30, 1934, a woman named Babe Didrikson pitched one inning in an exhibition game for the St. Louis Cardinals against the Boston Red Sox. She gave up 4 hits and 3 runs.

I just thought of another one. In season mode - they need to load all the actual career records into the game. According to MLBPP, Derek Jeter holds the all time hits record, and Johnny Damon has the all time triples record.

If that weren't bad enough, it reminds you every single time that the player holds the record. IE now every time Jeter gets a hit, he gets a "standing ovation for his accomplishment" of breaking his own previous record. Quite annoying, especially when in actual fact he's nowhere near Pete Rose's record.

I remember in 2007 when Griffey broke the record for most RBIs... it would get so bad that I wouldn't play games anymore, and if I did, I wouldn't play him. :O

I got another suggestion for Season Mode - they need to make a trading block like in the Madden Series. You put someone on it, and eventually accumulate offers for the player overtime. Another suggestion would be to make Triple A and Double A act as not only a holding block, but real teams that play games!!!!!

I also think the ability to hire batting coaches and pitching coaches for practice would be cool - since it could affect the rate people develop and decline.

Yeah another sucky thing about it is that when said player comes up to bat you get that little notification bubble saying "1 more until breaking the career hits record" that takes up lots of screen real estate in the batters box.

Let's hope no one comes up with a designer steroid named "Powerin" or "Carryover Chocolate".

Indeed, the thought had occurred to me.

Getting back to suggestions:
    Better Replays
  • Angles: When a baserunner steals, show him taking off VS the pitcher's move to the plate rather than fixing the camera on the catcher throwing. Also show the hitting/pitching cursor, pitch type in replays.
  • Saving: Add a feature to save at least a dozen replays to memory, and play them later (like in Hot Shots Golf).
