In addition to what everyone else has said so far...

General
-I'd say monthly roster updates would suffice
-More options with expansion teams as in more logos to choose
-Create-a-Stadium feature
-More than one Success Mode save slot
-Accurate stat playoff stat tracking in MLB Life Mode (this one doesn't work at all)
-Team specific crowd chants
-Cross platform compatible passwords

Wii
-Graphics that utilize the Wii capabilities instead of a direct PS2 port
-Mii integration into Success/MLB Life Modes (might be a bit much)

That's all I can think to add for now

Ooh, those are some good ideas. Especially the create-a-stadium feature.

I love all your ideas. I hope i'm getting on nobodies nerves but continue 07 story lines! I say maybe have the catcher put down signs. I mean like a ring around that pitch in the pitch selection thing. And it lights up where he wants it thrown. That takes good catcher abilities to a new level! (Plus no fingers down because power pros people don't have fingers! I think they someting like that in the Japenese versions though)

And I don't see why they would do online roster updates, because then that would just be one less reason to buy the next version.

Just have them update until the end of the season, then in order to get new stats/players you have to buy the new game. It's fairly simple to do and it fixes problems like bad stats for breakout years. This would go hand-in-hand with online leagues, if they decided to do that too.

You touched on most of the things I mentioned in my review (and some I didn't). I'd add:

* fix the player motivation problem in MLB Life so it is more dynamic/situation dependent
* fix the CPU AI's handling of pitching staffs in MLB Life and Season Modes (swingmen starting 2 games in a row or relieving in one and starting the next, closers pitching in the middle innings)
* Expand Season mode from 10 to 20 years to make the draft actually relevant
* Increase the duration of some injuries in Season mode. In 50+ years of Season mode I've never seen a single season ending injury, and only a handful of trips to the DL. The vast majority of injuries in 2007 and 2008 are of the "day to day" variety where a player misses 5 days or less.

DS, you could make this topic a sticky. The more we all play, the more ideas we'll come up with. We don't want this topic to be forgotten.

Actually wyl I've had lots of season ending injuries. All of them with catchers breaking their necks while diving into backstop after a pop-up.

Ability to use arrange mode teams in my life, just in case they stop making this game I don't want to play with the same rosters in my life for a couple years.

Maybe add some random feature in my life where the rosters expand and there is an expansion draft and the expansion teams are two random arrange teams.

I'd like to be able to use the D-pad to navigate menus again. No idea why they took it out

MLB Life:
-GM/Owner interaction (they have the most say on whether or not you get traded)
-Ability for a character from Success Mode to choose his uniform #
-Success Mode NPCs showing up in the league

Oops forgot. This should be the success mode for 2009
Perhaps I could be a great success mode player on 2009.
Saved Name: Taylor

Position: 2B
Secondary Position I: LF
Secondary Position II: CF
Secondary Position III: RF

Blue Abilities:
Slugger
Highball hitter

Drawbacks (Red Abilities):
Poor Baserunning
Poor Stealing

Trajectory: 3
Power: C
Contact: A
Speed: G
Fielding: D
E RES: D

Here's what the Success Mode should be:
The storyline is sort of like MLBPP 2008 and 2007 mixed, except bigger! You start with high school first, then go up to college for three years (your choice of 16 schools), then go up to rookie leagues, then A, then A Advanced, then AA, then AAA, then MLB, but you have to sign with an agent first (usually would be Matthew) to play in the rookie leagues!

Here are the success mode teams:
High School
Fast Food High Hamburgers
Powerful High Tulips (the team you play with)
Techno High Robots
Knightful High Aegis
Army High Generals
Medic High Doctors
Comedy High Comedians

College (NCAA)
Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets
Georgia Bulldogs
Florida Gators
Rice Owls
Universe Champion Rings
Michigan Wolverines
Clemson Tigers
Oklahoma Sooners

Then, you sign with an MLB organization and you move on from the minor leagues from there with that MLB organization. Depending on where you go, you meet new players from there.

Rosters (Non-playable characters all rest of roster are scrubs)
Fast Food High
Fry
Burga
Chili
Rex
Bean
Money
Dollar
Ronald (clown who clowns around)
King

Powerful High
Mark
Toby
Alvin
Marvin
Robert
Su Snuka
Brad
Frank
Parker
Robin
Buck
Taylor

Techno High
Buster
Liam
Dexter
Dmitri
Yoshi
Koji
MacArthur
Reed
Mouthpiece

Knightful High
Arthur
Booker
Patrick
Raegis
Lee

Army High Army
Mars
Hotel
Jet
Plane

Medic High
Dr. Phil
Dr. Stone
Dr. Hart
Dr. Reed
Dr. Eric
Dr. Ken
Dr. James
Dr. Lloyd
Dr.Maywetherlamacchastupiddoosh

Comedy High
Jeff
Bill
Larry
Cable Man
Ralphie
Dat Pen

NCAA
Universe Champion Rings
Jonathan
Zero Gibson
Gaia
Ramon Garciaparra
Scott Zone
Magic Atlas
Earvin Hall
Tony Johnson
Tony Gwynn II
Snake Roberts
Jake Duggan
Christian "Corn" DiBiase
Alvin Lockhart
Brett Hart
Hitman Ortiz

There will be a draft of NPCs and scrubs and what ever college they and you choose, you will probably have teamates from high school and possibly some new teamates from the other high schools you have played. However, what ever school you choose, Marvin will be on the same team. You probably will have competion with Jonathan, Zero, and possibly Nomar's brother, Ramon Garciaparra (which probably would play for Champion Rings). Yes, Rudy Fox would be in the game. So would Becky, Sarah, Lucy, and Patty who you would be able to date during success mode.

When you make the majors, you will get to meet every single player in every league that you go in the organization that you choose. The first agent that you sign with is Matthew, just like MLB Life mode of 2008! Remember, you don't do good or well, YOU'RE FIIIIIIIIIIRRRRRREEEEEEEEDDDDDD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Well, how would you like that?

So far, Online Home-Run Derby and Online Season (multiple players) are the best ideas.
