MLB The Show 06: Prior, Cubs vs Dodgers: 8 2/3 no-hit innings, LA's pinch hitter singled
Power Pros: Maddux, Padres @ Phillies (My Life): got through 8 2/3...and then Mad Dog got the dreaded Elbow Pain :crycry:

In Major League Baseball featuring Ken Griffey Jr. for the N64, I threw 4 perfectos: Darryl Kyle, Orel Hershisher twice, and Greg Maddux. It was kind of easy, you just had to throw the ball outside of the strike zone and then move the cursor to the strike zone. 2 out of 3 times this would be a strike.

You could edit a team to all 1 con 0 pwr 1 run speed, and edit your team to all A's in RUN SPD, ARM STR, FLD, and E RES, and you can edit a pitcher to 105, 255, 255, with a lvl 7 of:

sinking fastball
Hard Shuuto
Hard Sinker
Sinker
Knuckleball/Vertical Slider
(insert favorite down pitch)
KNCB, SCB
SLD, H-SLD

And every single blue ability, including gyroball and intimidator

Then reload until he has pink bouncing face motivation

And there you go! :DD

Thats exactly what I did once to the Nationals, except for their bench players
And the only guy that got a hit was a guy off the bench of course

Yeah, make sure that EVERY SINGLE PLAYER is 1 con 0 pwr 1 run, INCLUDING PITCHERS, and then don't forget to turn CPU hitting to novice, CPU baserunning to novice! :D

I always liked the Ken Griffey 64 style of pitching where you basically applied the break to the pitch as it was heading for the plate. What was neat about the "touch" system in that game was that the same slider or curve could look a little different depending on how you tried to snap it around. I'm not really sure why baseball games seem to insist on all input being made before the pitch is released. The answer definitely isn't 2k's stupid

might want to switch your pitches sometimes. But i was five outs from pitching a no hitter as Carlos Zambrano against the Cardinals and Pirates in the 8th. :|

hmm, I always here about Zambrrano's no-no's getting broken up on these forums

But the real key is to know when to keep the outfield in or out, if the pitcher or a guy who's a contact hitter or is a bad hitter the you have to bring the outfield in because their only gonna hit bloop singles usually. For good hitters, don't put the outfield back, just keep them in their set positions

all you really got to do is never pitch the same pattern twice thats the stargety that works for me

the game ends with me getting about 15 k's and only have foul outs and weak grounders(expert)

Look at the GS in the final game. They always keep their outfield in.

what i love doing (i'll use shawn spencer as an example, 7 cchg 1 kn) is throwing two CCHG's (level 7 pitches), then a knuckler (level 1 pitch) or vice versa. With that, they'll completely whiff 99% of the time.

I was just wandering what some good combinations are for going for a no hitter or perfect game, i have tried it a couple of times but something always messes it up for me :x

So what do you think the best combo is for a perfect game

Pitcher-
Pitcher's Team-
Other Team-
Stadium-
Difficulty-
Manual or Auto Fielding-

If there is not a pitcher who is really good for it what pitches would be best to give a custom/ edited player ?

A perfect game or no-hitter is really the only thing that's aludded me in this game so far. I've had dozens of cycles, several inside the park grandslams, a couple pinch-hit, walk-off, come-from behind homers (one a grandlsam), and all that stuff. But I can't get a no-hitter. I got one into the 9th inning until stupid Meruzi jinxed it by announcing it to the world. It ticked me off and screwed off my mentality. Plus I had no endurance left. Here are my tips:

Pitcher: Carl Pavano
Pitcher's Team: Marlins
Other team: Yankees
Stadium: Coor's field
Difficulty: Powerful
Auto Fielding Novice
Haha, don't do that, that's the wors possible situation. I'd suggest making a great pitcher or taking one from here as they are better then anything in the game. Use a great pitcher park like the Mariners or San Diego. I'd do it against the Giants, the worst offensive team in the game. I don't think it would feel right on novice, but it's the easiest one to do it on. I'd do it at whatever level your on. For fielding, it depends how good your are. If you ever make mental mistakes, turn it on auto and powerful. If only you could save games, I'd cheat and have a no-hitter by now.

Also, it still counts as a no-hitter if you bring in the closer in the 9th. Does it feel as good? No. But it feels a hell lot better then blowing it in the ninth out of fatigue.
