15+ abilities? I wouldn't even know off the top of my head that there were that many for both pitchers and hitters. I don't even think the two godly players I've made so far have half that many abilities.

Can't judge if the team works out fine though until I see the whole thing.


The next team being edited in is the MLB '12 team because I wanted to start in in advance because it will probably be the longest team to make. What with the 25 players and how I do some research in some cases to determine abilities, and I have to for their looks.

In general I hope the MLB '12 team will be well liked, I specifically went out of my way to put a lot of the forum's favorite players on it.

When will we know who's on that team?

I just checked: Red has 16 blue abilities and Gary has 13.



I'm not sure if it will, I'll have to get your opinion on it first. 3 out of the 5 starters are going to be horrible, though, and a majority of the lineup looks like AAA players, so I think it will.

When it's done I'll probably make another one of those glitched as hell videos that are really only good for showing off the roster. And it'll also show the roster of another team, but I have no idea which other one to show at the moment.

Can you make a video of my Sonic team. I wanna watch them play. I know you haven't put them in yet though.

Also, I'll mention right now, that from MLB '12, Ryan Howard won't be on the team, but he will be available as a Free Agent.

The MLB '12 team is now done, it may be longer than expected before the video showing the team is done. All of the players on the team have settings for voice except for Strasburg.

The team name is the Miami Showoffs. I originally planned it to be something cool like Showstoppers, but that wouldn't fit, so I went with the more comedic approach. I wanted to have the word "Show" in it because the team is based on MLB '12: The Show.

I'm kind of figuring out League Mode right now, running sample leagues and such. Once I figure it out, would anyone want to follow League Mode logs featuring a random 6 teams at a time from this until all 30 teams are done and the Season log can start? If they're well liked I could keep League Mode logs going even after the Season is ready, I'm not sure though.

All League Mode games are fast games, and I may wind up missing game results or something if I don't react to the screen it's on quickly enough (it skips through them by default if you don't stop it).

I'd have to decide on the number of games as well, I'm thinking somewhere between 10 and 20. 10 would be nice to get more Leagues done and show off more teams, but 20 would be better to lower the likelihood of a tie, I don't know if there are tiebreakers in League Mode.

Actually, the more I think about it, the less likely it is to be interesting, as it'd probably just be weak game summaries and maybe some level of a box score, but if people are interested in that to get a look at the teams, let me know and I'll do it.

I'm still figuring out League Mode though and this wouldn't be done until I at least finish my current sample league.

If people aren't interested in the log I may keep doing leagues on my own just to see how the teams compare in terms of abilities.

I'd mostly just be interested in seeing the MLB: The Show Roster and seeing how my team(soon-to-be teams) compare to other teams.

Well, since I'm probably going to be doing the leagues on my own anyway, even that slight amount of interest counts enough to make me do a log of it.

Don't let that discourage anyone else from showing their interest in it though.


On another note, I've been editing way above pace lately, I was supposed to finish one team by the end of Friday, but I finished the MLB '12 team early today and just edited in the Hawaii SuperSonic (SuperSonics wouldn't fit, I bet you can't guess which team this is, right?)

This makes 13 teams at this point, so I'd definitely be able to do more than one league for logs. I think that when I do wind up doing these I'll make it so the defending champion of the previous league is definitely in the next one.

Still not sure whether I should do 10 or 20 games though, maybe just settle for the middle and do 15 instead.

I think I'll lean towards making it a 20 game thing, if it's 15 then one team gets one more game at home in each matchup, I doubt that home team advantage really factors in much, if at all, but still...

I'll probably try to get it started when I finish the league I was doing before I considered making them into logs, and maybe if I can get the 15th team edited into it, not sure if I'll be able to do that in time for it.

For the first league, I will probably just use a random number generator to pick the 6 teams, so if your teams don't wind up in the first league, they'll probably be in some of the later leagues.
