We'll have to wait two weeks and see, the Phillies are putting him on the disabled list...

And in my opinion there is absolutely no chance for the Phillies to win the World Series this year. :(

Pedro is a good signing because its low risk high reward. He only signed a 1yr contract for 1mil and even that is beging prorated, which means he is actually getting about half that. So you basically have a former ace with playoff experiance, still considered a solid pitcher (I'm hearing as a #4), for ruffly 500g. The downside is that he could stink it up you'll be out 500g.....the upside seems to out the negitives.

His base salary is $2M. The $1M quoted is the approximate prorated amount. The actual amount comes out to $896K.
