Does anyone know the different upgrade types? I'm in the middle of a character and can't view them unless I get rid of him or finish, and I'm not ready to do either yet..

The issue with automatic upgrades is we don't understand their set rotation of upgrades, and since we can't pick and choose the abilities/pitches we want because of the minimal "leftover" experience points, about 90% of us use manual.

However, it should be obvious that each upgrade mode will attempt (and I do mean attempt) to raise your stats according to the player model you want. If you fail to gain the right experience points in practice to boost the model's core stats, he'll be no better than you or me in Real Life.

Also, it depends on the position. Fielders have different models than pitchers.

Auto is good for begginers but if you want a really good player choose manual. Another tip always choose all-rounder on auto because the computer will not upgrade a stat any more if it thinks it shouldn't go any higher for that certain type. Example my brother was making a slugger but wanted him to have D speed. The computer only let him have E speed even with 300+ Quickness points all his strength points went toward power so no speed upgrades.
