I had a few ideas for sub-forums. 1. A space for general Power Pro discussion not referring to any year. 2. A space for MLB Baseball instead of a 20 page sticky and other scattered topics. 3. A space for Player Logs 4. A space for season mode logs I know I'm forgetting something..... |

I like the idea of the franchise log and the player log....... They could be the "one stop shops" for what you are looking for.... |

If there were to be one for logs, it should all be in one place. |

Depending on how many people start doing them they might need to be seperated. |

I think extra sub-forums might cost more money, so I think there should just be one. |

I could be wrong. Right now, there's not enough logs to cover both. |

I'd rather refer them by year. |

Subforums don't cost anything more, but there is a point of diminishing returns. Generally the healthiest forum sites have a smaller number of high traffic forums rather than a higher number of lower traffic forums. It only really makes sense to split forums up when the intermingling of topics becomes confusing for people, or when the traffic is so great that active threads are getting quickly bumped off the first couple of pages (since most people won't look beyond a couple of pages), or when there is so many of a given topic that it warrants splitting them off on to their own. Personally I think we've got too many sub-forums as it is. For example, the Wii, PS2, and DS specific subs of the 2007 and 2008 forums aren't used nearly enough to justify having a separate forum to go check. IMHO of course. The Pawapuro sub-forum was opened by request, and last time I looked it had 3 posts in the 2-3 months it had been there. But that's just my take, others are welcome to feel differently ![]() |

While I don't feel there was a need for the individual consoles, I think having a pawpuro forum does make sense. Perhaps this could turn into a general power pros forum about the series as a whole as well as the Japanese version? |

The big reason the forums are setup the way they are is because there is a necessity to distinguish between years and modes, even though they share names and many common instances. From what I can tell thus far, the console-specific subforums are being largely ignored, which is fine, flexibility is a key aspect in this kind of software. As for the suggestions of the OP,
Like Wyl said, the Pawapuro forum was created by request, and because there's really no other place to put it, as topics for those games would easily get lost in the shuffle of the main board topics. |
