Ok so my cousin got my married at the beginning of this year, and the guy who she married has a 10 year old son who I haven't even met yet, but I want to get him something for Christmas, and my mom wouldn't let me get him a gift card. So my question is what did you like when you were ten |

But why are you getting him a present if you've never even met him? You don't know what he's like, and so much has changed since we were 10, even if it's only been 3-5 years. Plus, he probably has a lot of different in interests than us |

Ask your cousin what the kid is into. I have to get something for my niece tomorrow and I don't know anything about a 4 or 5 year old girl. Just asked my brother so I know what to get. |

That being said, my son will turn 10 this month, and while what he appreciates most are apple gift cards, he and his friends are into Lego sets - Lego Star Wars, Lego superheroes, lego dinosaurs, etc. |

My son is ten, and he likes chocolate, legos, and hot wheels. He also likes video games, but since you don't know him I would make it personal, and not get him video games. |
