Okay, so everybody left should have a general understanding of what has happened in college football. Over the last 6 years, an SEC team has won the national championship. But, this year it could be different. There remain 4 undefeated teams, but OSU is banned, so we can't count them. That leaves Kansas St., Oregon, and Notre Dame has undefeated teams, and are ranked first, second, and third, respectively. But after that is 6 straight SEC teams (Alabama, Georgia, Florida, LSU, A&M, and South Carolina). Of those teams, LSU, A&M, and SCAR don't really have a chance, so they get thrown out. If one of those undefeated teams were to lose, then it wouldn't really make a difference. If 2 were to lose, then the winner of the SEC championship game would sneek in (either Alabama, Georgia, or Florida). If all 3 lose, then it would be total chaos, because I don't know what would happen. Looking at those undefeated teams, they don't have easy schedules. KSU has Baylor and #15 Texas, Oregon has #11 Stanford #16 Oregon St. and either #17 UCLA or #18 USC, and Notre Dame has Wake Forest and #18 USC.

TL;DR Will an SEC team make the National Championship game this year, and will they win?

I think Oregon can go all the way... haven't really been watching K-State though... I put they'd go undefeated though.

I think Oregon is the best team, and I believe they could beat both Kansas State and Notre Dame. But they have an extremely hard schedule here at the end, yet, I think they can hold on. Something tells me KSU will choke, but I don't want to listen to myself...

I like watching Oregon... I think they're really good for the sport. We live in a fast paced world, and they're a fast paced team, that can light up the scoreboard.

I don't think the SEC reign is over though... LSU and Alabama should be good again next year, Florida too.

All of them have decently hard schedules, with all 3 teams having faced or will have faced 5 ranked teams (as of right now)... Kansas State's next chance to "choke" is against #15 Texas, while Oregon plays against two straight ranked teams, Stanford and Oregon State, and very well might leapfrog KSU in the standings if they're convincing enough.

1. I hope it's a KSU-OU title game, because that would be genuinely interesting and a great deviation from the norm.

2. Yes, the SEC might dominate again next year, but until then, I think an easy majority of college football are very pleased that this season has unfolded in such a way that the SEC might get shut out of the championship.

Oregon actually has three ranked teams to play because of the Pac-12 Championship

I think that both K-State and Notre Dame will lose, K-State to Texas and Notre Dame to USC, so I think the championship game will be Oregon vs. Bama. It should be a great game, with Bama barely pulling it out.
