So, yeah I saw an editorial on a website that talked about cartoons and I was wondering what your favorites were. SpongeBob Squarepants before and including the motion picture anything after that is mostly garbage. It was just a funny and unique show that everyone seemed to love. Every character was great and it was weird without being flat out ridiculous. The movie was intended to be (and should have been) the series finale. But then the original writers left and they completely erased everything the movie did. Loony Tunes (old and new) Great characters. Very iconic. Very witty. Not always politically correct. Great show. The Legend of Korra Okay this one is new and very good. Very good stuff proving that cartoons aren't just for kids. Justice League/Young Justice Justice League last aired in 2006, but was very good. All the great characters. Well written and serious. Also a great sort of relationship between Batman and Wonder Woman. Young Justice is on Cartoon Network currently and is basically the Justice League with teens. Anything coming from the DC animated universe is great. Tom and Jerry/Scooby Doo Tom and Jerry: C'mon. Who doesn't love cartoon violence at it's finest? Scooby Doo: Very iconic. Funny, again very unique and really stands the test of time But my all-time favorite... Batman: The Animated Series Allow me to gush about this wonderful cartoon. The storylines are really amazing in this series. They reimagined a lot of the villains like Mr. Freeze (per Swarzzeneggar interpretation) Two-Face and Clayface. Giving them more tragic origins. This has a very dark and serious tone while giving comic relief at times. The episodes are very emotional. One example is an episode called Baby Doll: A child star with a disease that won't allow her to age could never get another acting job after her TV show was cancelled. Now she wants to bring back the cast and does so by kidnapping them. It sounds ridiculous, but the climax of the episode pits Baby Doll and Batman in a funhouse. Baby Doll sees herself in a funhouse mirror showing a taller, aged version of herself. She then gives up, crying in Batman's arms as she realizes she can never be normal. Pretty emotional for a kid's show, right? But the series did have a few lighter episodes. One called "Almost Got 'Im" shows The Joker, Two Face, The Penguin, Killer Croc and Poison Ivy all playing cards and telling stories of how they almost killed Batman. Another great thing the series did was creating Harley Quinn. Also, great voice acting. Kevin Conroy as Batman and Mark Hammil as the Joker really stood out. Some say Hammil's portrayal was better than Heath Ledger's. Anyway, maybe I'm biased, but this show tops all cartoons in my book. A few favorite episodes Robin's Reckoning: Robin's origin story. If You're So Smart Why Aren't You Rich?: One of the few episodes featuring he Riddler Heart of Ice/Two-Fae: Mr. Freeze and Two Face's origin stories. Countless others. So, yeah. Sorry for the long post, but what are some of your favorite cartoons? |

Does it have to be cartoons or just any kid shows? |

As long as that kids show is not iCarly, that is perfectly fine. ![]() |

Aww man... ![]() But I don't really have many favorite cartoons or kid shows. I liked All That and LOTHT, but those were way back in the 90's. Code Name Kids Next Door and Fosters Home for Imagiary Friends were really good, but that's about it |

I've only just gotten into it so I can't say too much about, but it is a very good show already. My Little Pony I first got into while watching with my three year old sister. ![]() Rugrats was very good too. And, I definitely agree with you on CatDog, Zumi. |

Well, I am keeping my man card intact when I say I also like My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. I'm not as huge a fan as a lot of people in the fanbase, but I am a fan nonetheless. But, back in the day, I used to thoroughly enjoy anything on Cartoon Network (pre-2007), and a couple select shows (Fairly Oddparents, Spongebob, circa 2008 or so) on Nickelodeon. |
