Jimmy works on his fielding, Johnny on his control.

Several of the players practiced at home. Scott, Matt, and Johnny all practiced their control (Control +2). Anthony lifted weights and felt a slight increase in his power afterwards (Power +1). Murfy did the same but just couldn't hit the ball. When he did, though, it was a deep blast that shattered someone's window (Contact -3, Power +4). Jimmy worked on his fielding by trying to catch the pitches as Johnny threw them (Fielding +1). Kevin also tried to work on his fielding but the sun got in his eyes a lot. Jack also worked on his best aspect- his speed- and ran a 4.45 40-yard dash with his dad timing him. (Speed +2)

Mike was the only player who rested that afternoon and it paid off as he woke up from a quick nap rejuvenated. He then went outside and worked a little bit on everything (All abilities +1).

Bryan went into his math teacher's room to study, and Sonny was sitting there doing the same thing! "I heard you made Coach mad today," said Bryan. "I don't want to talk about it," said Sonny. They studied together.

David went into town, and ran into Randy on his way! They went to a music store together. Randy bought a Beatles CD while David bought the latest Daft Punk album.

Jeffrey decided to call Philip. "I live next door to you, and you call me? You could've just walked over, you know," said Philip. "I was just about to head into town anyways. Want to come along?" "Yeah, sure," said Jeffrey. They didn't really do much though.

"Tomlinson residence. This is Robert." "Hey, it's Scooter, from baseball. I was wondering if you wanted to come to my house?" "Sure, I'll be right over. Where do you live?" Scooter gave him the address and Robert came over. They ended up playing baseball in the yard with Scooter's three younger brothers. Tucker was a pitcher who was a senior in high school, and Danny and Will were both juniors. Danny was a third baseman and Will was a utilityman. (Robert: Top Speed +1, Stamina +2; Scooter: Control +3, 2-seamer +1)

Another day whizzed past, and before anyone knew it, it was time for baseball practice again.

"We're going to have a scrimmage today," Jayson said. Everyone cheered. "We brought in some local high school fielders because we didn't have enough."

Jonathan was the starting pitcher for Team A against Robert on Team B. Both got through 2 innings easily before Murfy hit a home run to lead off the third, followed by a double off the bat of Bryan and a single by Robert. Jonathan was pulled in favor of Sonny who gave up 2 sacrifice flies, and then struck out Jack to end the inning. Robert coasted on through the 5th, as did Sonny. In the 6th, Johnny came in to face Murfy and Bryan. Both grounded out, and Robert struck out to end the inning. After 7 innings, Scooter came in to face Team A. The first batter was none other than his little brother, Danny! Danny struck out, but then Will hit a single to bring up Kevin. Kevin struck out. Philip was up next, and he flew out to deep left to end the game.

There seems to be no use in doing anything other than practice. At least now I know for the future.

There's an advantage to studying for sure. Going into town also may trigger some sort of lottery event or similar.
