Post subject:  2005 Devil Rays - Rewriting History

Today when I was thinking about my Choose Your Adventure project that I am going to start in a couple of days, I thought of something to do if I ever got bored of it. I thought about it when the idea hit me. MVP Baseball 2005. This was my favorite baseball game before Power Pros. You guys build your own stadium and run it, play mini-games, unlock cool, stuff, and (of course) play baseball. The graphics weren't the best in the world because it was 2005, but it was good enough to sink me in.

Right now I will just be doing the introduction. I am in the process of ordering a new PS2 AV cord so I can play. If you haven't heard, it broke so that won't be happening. The fate of Rev and the Eagles is a 50/50 toss up. If just thought of a good plot twist that would make up for lost time. Hell I'll start it now. But for right now, enjoy the 2005 Devil Rays, Part I

I wish you could bring Rev and the Eagles back. I liked where that was going, but this is cool too.

Brought it back, but the games are going to have to be on hold. The PS2 Cord is coming! If you guys want me to do this, please show your support. I don't want to waste time.

"It's time for a change."

The Tampa Bay Devil Rays are a team with unlimited potential. They have two of the best young outfielders with Carl Carwford and Rocco Baldelli and a great pitcher in Scott Kasmier. These three have carried the team as far as they could go, but these players haven't been enough. The Devil Rays have become one of the notoriously bad teams in the MLB. Playing in the powerful AL East didn't help. The big money Red Sox and Yankees always found a way to stay at the top, while the Orioles and Blue Jays just made every series a little bit harder. After coming off another losing season, enough was enough.

"Hello?"

"Hello is this Alexander Carson?"

"Depends. Who's asking?"

"My name is Terry Magruder. I work for the Tampa Bay Devil Rays front office. We just fired our old GM, Chuck LaMar. He wasn't getting it done for us and we need someone new, someone with great baseball experience. Considering you were a great in Japan as a player and a coach, we thought we could use you for our organization."

Alexander: Very tempting offer, but the Devil Rays? You guys have been the bottom feeders for what, your whole existence as a franchise? I know you have some young talent but they're not going to be able to carry the team for too long. When they're slumping they're going to need others to come through in their place.

Terry: This is why we are giving you complete control over the current roster. You can make trades, sign free agents, send down or call up, at your disposal. With our situation, we need moves and fast. The only thing that will be setting you back is your adviser, Jason Carroll. He is young, about 23, but he knows a lot about the game. You can use him or just leave him laying on the shelf.

Alexander: Complete control? Sounds very tempting. Give me a second to sit on this. (Complete control? I could carry this team in the right direction. There are some promising free agents, and good trade material on this team. All the players could use training, but with time and my knowledge, I could turn them into a championship caliber team.) Alright Terry you've got yourself a deal. I'll be GM for the Devil Rays. Just one thing.

Terry: Yes Alexander?

Alexander: We're ditching the Trop.

Terry: But...

*buzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz*

Terry: I hope he knows what he's doing.

Ewwwwww its hideous! I think a new stadium is a good idea for a new team. Kinda, because they are starting over, ya know?

It's the only stadium I've been to. It holds a special place in my heart :) . And it's not hideous, have you ever been there?

You're judgeing it by a game :P I mean, it's not great, but it isn't anywhere as bad as people think it is

It's even worse in the 2K games. But then again, 2K makes every stadium worse.
