Post subject:  RPG 3

Hey gang! Redsfan's back with a dream. To recreate the magic of the summer of 2011. That's right, folks, it's time for another RPG! Basically the same rules as last time apply, but first I'd like to see if there's any interest out there.

So anyway, here's the outline for how the story will unfold. I'll flesh it out when the players are created. It takes place in a new independent league, with a twist. It's called the IBL, the International baseball league. Every summer, teams from the U.S. Japan, Canada, and Europe come together in one location, a suburban stadium in New York City. Although the idea was pretty good, the league was a huge financial risk. Travel fees were high and the competition with the MLB for talent wasn't easy. Still, things have worked out so far and season 1 is a go. Perhaps by producing some solid talent, the IBL will rival the MLB. Lane Street (that's me, the owner/manager) has decided to buy one of the teams. Deciding to find his talent in Texas. Although all games take place near the United Nations building in NYC, the El Paso Rawhides will hold tryouts, practices, and scrimmages in their home city.

Any interest or player ideas?

I think we should wait to see if other people sign up, so we don't take their spots.

Yeah, just wait and see, but you'll probably get your chance to make 2.
Also, BrewersFuzz, your guy's fine.

Name: Bryan Murphy

PWR: G
RUN SPD: D
ARM STR: D
FLD: E
E RES: F

Post subject:  Re: RPG 3

Name: Jekuthiel Gilgamesh
Nickname: Gil (he doesn't like it, but it's used by people who can't remember his real name)
Appearance: Extremely pale skin, really short, has long, naturally spiky hair that makes him look taller when he's not wearing a hat or a helmet. Has a short mustache he dyes blue for some reason.
Position: 1B
Throws: L
Bats: R
Skills: TRJ: 1, CON: G, POW: C, RUN SPD: G, FLD: G, ARM STR: G, E RES: G
Bio: He only really plays first base because he doesn't have the talent to do pretty much anything, he catches with his strong arm because he finds it easier to catch with and hopes he won't have to make any throws from first base. He has some decent power, but his swing is so prone to grounders he still barely manages to lift hits out of the infield. Third basemen are really alert when he's up because of his tendency to hit hard liners over there.

That okay? I know you didn't say anything about Cs, but I've seen expansion players with them, and everything else is a G, he even has 1 TRJ to balance it out.

Position: CL
Throws: R
Bats: R

Bio: Australian-born, he came to America when he was 13 in 1991, and became a citizen at 19. His dreams of playing in MLB was wiped out in a freak arm injury suffered before his first big league start with Tampa when he was 25, in 2003. Since then, he never recovered the 95mph fastball he had back in his playing days, and hopes that this team will give him a second chance.

If he tore up his knee, shouldn't his speed be the problem, not his hitting? :P
