They seriously do need some kind of official rule for it. When the home team is down they delay it almost 3 hours but if their leading they won't delay it 30 minutes.

I agree completely. They held a rain delay at philadelphia for almost 3 hours because they were home with the go ahead run at the plate. If they were at shea, instead of philly, the game would have been over, or if philly was leading. |

I think starting half an hour before the game starts it becomes the umpires call...also if the trailing team has had fewer outs at bat (ie home team trailing) they can't call the game unless they suspend it and finish it another day...once it goes past 5 innings anyways |
